it’s interesting to me… the people in this thread who’re crying for Aafia Siddiqui. did they also cry for Mukhtaran Mai? did they also cry for Chand Bibi? do they cry for the woman who was stoned recently by the taliban? do they cry for the baloch women that have been kidnapped? do they cry for the crimes of Pakistani soldiers against Bangladeshi women?

so, why this singleminded maatam for Aafia Siddiqui? is it because she was picked up by the big, bad kufaar? but if we Muslims commit all kinds of crimes against women, it’s a-okay?

No one is condoning above tragedies. Mukhtaran mai got universal publicity what happend to her. At least there is some consolation. However these are different issues than the above one. If you do not feel any sympathy for this unfortunate woman than silecne is golden.
