seems like a woman has no place, no home. her parents’ home is not her home, her husband’s home is not her home. she leaves her parents’ house to go to another already established house, and has to fit in.
haha this is really random.

Re: a woman's place
so whats wrong with that
Re: a woman's place
That's not true. Its the same for men really. They have their parents home, and then they grow up and earn money and buy a home for themselves. So they have to transition as well.
We each have 2 homes - our adult home and our childhood home. Its just that in our culture, the girl has to move out of her childhood home first and live with an extended family until the guy can get her their own home. If he can afford it.
Re: a woman's place
i dont know. but it makes me feel hopeless
Re: a woman’s place
but its his home. they dont have to move in a house full of strangers and adjust. the guy is accustomed to his ways, his family’s ways and the girl has to adjust herself to fit into his family.
Re: a woman's place
nah. you're the queen of your home whether its your childhood home or your home w/husband. Its not his home - its both of yer's home and yer the queen bee.
Think of it as your palace. And make sure he knows it too.
Re: a woman’s place
Puh-leez. You have to adjust, but you don’t think they’re trying to get used to the girl? Maybe talk it out with them? Or at least with the hubby?
Like I said, its your roost, and one of his priorities is you.
Just make sure the man knows where his place is! ![]()

Re: a woman's place
Get some decent purposeful education with a degree, find a job and BUY YOUR OWN DAMN HOUSE. Stop complaining here.
Re: a woman's place
:-\
Talk to him about it? Be very clear about what you feel - if you wait months and then pop it out on him during some jhagra, he's gonna get pissed and he wont cooperate then. With these things, always talk it out. If your in-laws are saying/doing something, just let him know. You guys can work it out, I'm sure.
The other option is to press him to get a separate home. I honestly don't know why guys insist on bringing their wives into their own homes. If its a money issue, that's one thing. But seriously - priority should be that the guy should be able to get his biwi her own place. I don't know how you girls do it. You pple have lots of sabar.

Re: a woman's place
Don't worry, In every house there is a place for the woman and the woman only. Never has a house been designed without that special place just for the woman. Now please stop complaining and skitter off to the kitchen already.
Re: a woman's place
Then keep on living with your parents/ in-laws for four years. Why are you complaining?
