A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

This debate is only meaningful if this Niqabi speaks the same for Christains and other non muslims living in Saudi Arabia. You cant even sell a non muslim book in a Saudi store.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

If she is representative of Saudi Araba then I'll agree with you.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

I don't think the face should be covered because I do agree that the face is important for communication, but no law should dictate how people live. Unfortunately, France is probably the country most against association with a religion, and Europe does have more of a problem with right wing Muslims than North America, so this issue is more heated there.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

aren't both women muslim...
or is one not muslim enough for you?

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

both are muslim.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

so the title of the thread, which is the same header this is floating around with on FB is incorrect.
which muslim woman won? :D

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

let the losers choose the burqas, the only problem i have is please don't follow me or sit next to me. yes i have fear you might blow yourself up.
yup i hate and despise the chicks who wear burqas, yup i am going to hell, so be it.

mucho gracis !

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

I have to say...Hebah did a great job of presenting herself. She was calm, collected and confident. Mona came across as emotional and a bit too dramatic.

I don't wear niqab but I'd support Hebah.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

No need to mix the issues here.

A niqabi does NOT have to speak about anyone but her rights and the country she lives in. Besides, the discussion is not about KSA or selling any book. Even the moderator in video said something like "we are not talking about KSA".

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

Perhaps psychotherapy for unreasonable, unnecessary fear may help for those who are just fearful of nothing. :D

Out of millions who wear niqab, how many blow themselves?

I liked the guy how he conducted the discussion.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

calling one selff muslim is easy.....

muslim is one who has surrendered his will to Allah.......

wt is halal we should not make it haram and wt is haram we should not call it halal.....

if one sister doesnt wear burqa no problem but she should not call it haram then she is muslim.................

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

kinda like lobster, its not haram, but ppl keep declaring it as haram.. :(
tired of the haram patrol

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

only tlk says its haram :chai:

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

Word!. As a Christian i believe dat Muslim or Non-Muslim women have a right to wear what she likes. Though i personally do not agree with the idea of hiding your face in general. Heba sounds more confident because she believes niqab is for her and seems she loves it. She is following wat her Quran is telling her to do. This is her belief. What is rong with dat?. In our secular society no one has a right to tell men or women what they can wear and wat dey cannot. Otherwise there is no difference between our society vs saudi society. We need to be more compassionate with each other and embrace each other's choices. Jesus has taught us to love thy neighbor like thy self. I like the memorable quote from the Movie Kingdom of Heaven in which: Balian of Ibelin says" What man is a man who does not make the world better.".

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

Both ladies debated well. While Mona was more emotional, I respectfully disagree she was being dramatic.

Hebab lost credibility with me when she said she has never met a woman who has been forced to wear a burqa. In my opinion, she was not speaking the truth. just my opinion.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

:smack:

Did you live with her?

Mona was dramatic in the sense that she tried to make niqabis looked as if they were oppressed (like a lot of people try to do) but she completely ignored right there in front of her other woman denied she was oppressed. That is called playing emotional card.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

^ Respectfully, I would suggest beating yourself on the head is dramatic. And so is the rhetorical question that followed.

Cheers.

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

Answer the post. Forget the rest. Why you think she was not speaking the truth?

Re: A woman loses the debate with a muslim woman

@X2 Niqabi won this debate while Mona continuously emphasizing and portray all niqabies as oppressive creature of world, which is not always true becuase many convert in France are women and most of them are comfortable to opt niqab as preferred way of life.
