A comment I read on a Muslim forum made me think of this and I remembered a post on GS a while bk which went along the lines of ‘wives are not for fantasising about’ (so who is?).. Is being sexy still equated with negativity even within marriage and if so why?

lol!! seriously! Jis kisi ne ye kaha hay uski zehniyat p shak hay mujhay!!
I think it is important to have some sexiness in the married life of a couple. It ain't necesarry to show the world the "sparkles" between you 2
lekin it should be there!
Well, I disagree with the comment, but perhaps it is dependent on the interpretation of the word 'sexy'. If one associates it with promiscuity, then yeah I guess I can see where they are coming from...
You can be completely naked with your husband but you can’t be seski? May be they meant to say she shouldn’t behave/dress inappropriately even if her husband wants her to in public? Like if he said I want you to wear this revealing dress to dinner, its sexy…? Weird anyway.

Prolly the mullah with the unsexy wife proclaimed such a nonsensical fatwah.
Since the bringing back of Sexy by Mr. Timberlake, I think it is acceptable for wives to appear so. However, given that Mr. Timberlake is a Western heathen whose corrupting influence was most likely kept away from our pure and virtuous Muslim sisters, the effectiveness of Saksi penetration into our households may not have been very efficient. Therefore, there is great need for a Muslim artist to bring said Saksi to the Ummah, so that wives are able to "B" who they want to "B".
What does that even mean? Is it because the husband might assume she's had prior sexual experience? Wives are not for fantasizing about? Let's say that a wife is super sexy/freaky...would that prevent him from having fleeting fantasies about other women and if so how many would admit to it?
Why worry about it, Deebs? As long as you're married and you're not violating any Islamic limits and it works for your marriage, who cares what someone on a forum thinks.
