In a small town near Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan, at least 22 women and children, including the bride, have died and 30 injured after a fire broke out in a tent at a wedding party.
This is really very sad. Inna lillahe wa inna ilayhe raaje’oon. May Allah forgive their sins and grant them a high status in Paradise and give strength and patience to their loved ones left behind, Ameen.
May ALLAH swt forgive them for thier sins, and grant them paradise for eternity.
May ALLAH swt also insure they also be given the power to intercede for 60 of thier loved ones, Ameen.
I've always been against fireworks as it is a waste of time and money; and in some cases it wastes lives as well. The proof is before you. I have no idea why people are unable to realize it. No, the stupid traditions must be met, fireworks must be fired, money must be wasted, lives of others must be put at risk.
Fireworks isn't mentioned on BBC, but it's mentioned on Jang.
I think the main problem might have been that people began to panic causing a stampede. If everyone had just followed proper procedures, I think they (or atleast the majority of the people) would have been able to get out quickly and more safely.
True. The panic caused a lot of injuries and some deaths. To make things worse, some house’s wall collapsed on some children and they died as a result.
^ (Although I am against that 'tradition' as well) the thing with guns being shot into the air is that there is a very small chance that someone will get hurt or die from it. And if that does happen, it is usually just one person, where as something like what's being told in this news story is a much greater tragedy.
