I lived in Europe for several years when my dad was stationed there and European girls are easy. The hard part was adjusting for the different hygeine standards, and getting past the hairy pits. Sacre bleu!

exactly the ignorance... when people do not know that Quran tells that a person's wealth **and his **children are called FITNAH in Quran, that's sheer ignorance of translating it to women being fitnah.. Now it is other story if the person is also ignorant of the meaning of FITNAH in the BOOK's Own language... Quran is not in urdu Sir jee.. Fitnah means Trial and means of Test... Allah gives you wealth to test if you spent in for the right purpose.. that is on your needs and on your family needs.. Allah gives you children to test if you give them their rights and teach them the Truth or not...

Because nuns chooose to become nuns, they know what the're getting into before they go off and study for years.
Muslim women (in other countreis) are forced into it either by the society (uncovered women will be harrassed/raped) or their families who force it on them. You don't see little 5 year old girls wearing nun habits do you?
** I am not saying that ALL women who wear hijab are forced into it, or that hijab is a toool of oppression**, but this is why the majority of people don't feel nuns are oppressed.

A man & a woman r created a bit different ...........& both have different roles to play.........no one's role is less important than the other........
in this religion mother's r given 3 times more importance than fathers........
as well as a woman's sins r all washed away @ the time of giving birth......(ofcourse except the ones tht come in shirk & a few big sins)...........
& since i don't know a lot so these r the only few i know abt........... **

Not all nuns wear the typical black and white habit that you see in movies. Many wear simple clothing. All my teachers who were nuns wore regular clothing, very plain, and modest.
They choose to enter that lifestyle, to devote their entire life to God; they take a vow to never be with a man, to never marry and have children, and to rid themselves of other worldly pleasures.

Well it can be oppression and it can not be...
The issue is to do with the womans choice...
If the woman is forced to wear it against her own will then that can be seen as oppression...and if its a choice that the girl makes then who can call that oppression...
Islamic things are only rewardable if you do them by choice and to please your creator not when you are forced into it...
Iran was oppression...Lol it was like Europe...and then one day you tell everyone they have to wear hijab...thats oppression...
But in the gulf where its always been obligatory and is culture...i doubt anyone sees it as oppression...

Rape? I think that's a bit harsh...as for being forced...why can't this argument be extended to clothes in general?

What world do you live in hun? Are you telling me that hijabis dont CHOSE to enter that lifestyle? You dont wear hijab, aren't you chosing not to?
