^ when all of us actually believe that this “did not pray for 12 years” part of the story cannot be true (cannot say about the actual story as i’ve never heard of it), then i think nobody here is projecting it, rather everyone denounced it
and as for the OP… the questions are asked based on a story which may not be true. plus, todays sufis are not same as those one of which she mentioned in this story. those great muslim preachers had very strong beliefs, and they were very strict followers of sharia… taking a general term of sufi (when most of the sufis today are simple loudspeaker halwa peers, and diverted from the path) and adding a fake story, attaching it to Khuwaja Mueen-ud-Deen Chishti 
, and then claiming that he does not represent islam… this whole concept and way of posting seems malicious to me

i didnt see the question posed as a conspiracy. the question and intent was genuine. in trying to find the saved sect recognising haq and batil is paramount, its then that these issues need to be raised
however if the story is true and the man held the branch for 12 YEARS! due to the hurt of not being allowed to pray in the mosque. he obviously became incapacitated. who are we to say he wasnt rewarded for those years as if he was praying.
