How do you guys deal with social situations when you know no body apart from the host?
I have to attend a mehndi tomorrow and I know NO BODY apart from the bride and her sister…none of my friends or relatives are going.
feeling kinda weird about what im gonna do with myself!
Any advice?

Idk :/ try to start a conversation with someone. There's bound to be people there who are in the same situation as yours. If you see someone who's alsoalone, introduce yourself and start a conversation.

If you don't feel comfortable approaching people ask the brides sister to introduce you to a few people and then carry on the conversation with them

im ok with approaching people, I just think a mehndi situation makes it a bit tougher? Maybe I am over thinking things hmmm

I went to a dholki a few weeks ago and had the same problem xD The aunty of the bride introduced me to these other girls who also didn't know anyone there. So yeah I spent most of the dholki talking to them.

Once I was in a smiliar situation when invited over an eid lunch in dublin.
I even Didnt know the host much but I thought its better to got there instead of spending eid alone.
the only time I was involved in the discussion was when topic was Pak cricket otherwise it was just like baiganon ki shadi main abduallah deewana and ofcourse food was splendid :)

Ull enjoy the mehndi. Its not difficult to make friends. If nothing else, sit with the older people. They always have something to say. Otherwise enjoy yourself watching dances and stuff

if you are not good in starting new friendships, just go there and sit quietly for those couple of hours. (that is all you need to do and then it's over)

Hiii so i went to the mehndi and it was literally one of the best nights of my life!!!
I had so much fun and had no problems making friends at all hehe mannnn i just over think things too much!

zor se buland awaz stage pe khari ho ke kehna "kaale baalon wali tamam aurtain aur larkiyan achi lag rahi hain" phir dekhna sab tumse khud ba khud baat karne chali ayein gi.
