Alright, so I've seen something called Kokum at the local Indian store, just cannot remember if it's dried or fresh. Anyway, in case it's dried and sold in a plastic baggie, do the same quantities apply or not?
Please, please, please, help me out here. I am truly at sea, and I DO want to try out this recipe; Much as my hubby is on this so-called-Atkins, where I cannot cook chawal or aloo and yet I wake up to find empty half-gallons of ice cream in the trash can :)
If only I could use "Not-being-able-to-eat-chawal-everynight" as a defense in divorce court!!!

they are always available in plastic bags… yeah even if its dry, use the same quantity… try to add a couple table spoon of water if it becomes difficult to make a paste of it…

poor you… i cant have a single meal without rice… and i was under the impression that Atkins was really a FATkins :-s
