i was actually wondering what is the procedure to prove the rape. i know punishment is death but first it has to be proven.
does the woman need 4 witnesses (muslims? ) to prove the rape if a non muslim has committed the horrible act?

No 4 witnees are not reuqired in the rape case it is common the circumstance and the test will do the job a rape took place in the time of Hazrat MUHAMMAD SAW when women told about the man to Hazrat MUHAMMAD SAW he ordered sahabs to get him and they got him gave a little bit of beating and he accepted it than he was executed

i am not talking in historical perspective. out of curiosity i was wondering about any ruling in current day and age.
Not that i doubt what you are saying, i want to know other members opinion about this.

We are not talking about Rape in the case of 4 witness 4 witness are not required for rape they are required for the consant Sex that is Zina bil Raza

As I understand it, for the Hadd punishment of rape the requirement is 4 witnesses, for the lesser tazeer other forms of evidence count. Still, wrt Hadd punishments.. the 4 witnesses who stood around watching the act of rape, and it does have to literally be rape very specifically defined, what were they doing?

No rape doesn't require 4 witness sex with consent requires 4 witness rape can be judge through medical and DNA and evidences and punishment of rape is death

Lets say a man and woman have consensual sex. Later the woman accuses the man of rape. In this case is the womans testimony and the dna evidence enough proof for conviction?

For doing rape man gets violent and women is hurt in that case I knew some one will raise this issue so I said it before about medical tests and there also many ways of bringing out the truth most women can't face the questioning and if you don cross questioning and and other stuff you can find out the truth recently a similar case took place in Saudi Arabia

Not necessarily true that all rape has to be brutal. Please do link the Saudi case though.
