Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
modesty IS NOT part of Islam? who are you kidding...modesty is a huge part of Islam...and is discussed many times in the Quran.

Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
Ok, may be but tell me how many of them percentage wise are doing it for themselves? Case closed
He paid her to do it, like I said it is not the Imam but people on this board filled with prejudice. Unbelievable.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
Hello, open your eyes and actually read the first post of this thread.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
^^He might have paid her, or she might have done it to get famous..there's a lot of reasons really. Perhaps she's just stupid? I dont know, why else does a woman describe a man as wonderful, when he's said women are like pieces of meat and deserve what they get?
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
^^
Why is it so hard for you to take the situation as it is? Tell me honestly, because you have not met her or the Imam neither have I so why should I give your analogy any attention?
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
he nvr said that....
im not surprised that people like yourself are always looking for a reason or some lame excuse to point fingers at Muslims. He paid her? come on how ridiculous is that!
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
EXACTLY!
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
i think he has been watching too much american politics on CNN ![]()
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
Yeah, got proof buddy? Cuz Scholars, yes SCHOLARS, (not average joes like you) have given hardcore evidence.
but judging by your other posts, Facts and Evidence is something you don't believe in.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
There are two ways to deal with any crime....one is prevention and the other is punishment.
I have made this as simple as possible for people that are getting the issues confused and lack clarity in thinking.

well said....they both go hand in hand!
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
women dressing appropriately is prevention.....jailing rapists in punishment. Tackling one without the other is not achieving the optimal results.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
hence what i said in above posts....dressing modestly is a PREVENTATIVE measure...I dont know why thats so hard to comprehend for some people.
ah well....to each its own!
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
^ its called lack of knowledge. A "zidd".
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
denial is a better term.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
It's hard to believe since any man that describes women as pieces of meat asking to be raped, will not be described as a wonderful person by most women.

You're missing the point of what the Imam said, which was that 65 years is too much for a rapist who was "led on" by a female mistress of seduction and that there's no mercy in that sentence. Why should there be any mercy, you tell me? The Imam actually wasnt on about any prevention, rather he was complaining that the sentencing of a rapist to 65 years in prison was too harsh!! Last, covering up does not stop rapes from occuring as the Middle East shows.
It's really quite unbelievable the way religious folk will go to any lengths to back up an Imam that justifies the crime of rape.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric
once again he nvr said she deserved to be raped...he simply said "a woman without hijab is like an uncovered piece of meat"....
that analogy is pretty simple to understand....people are taking it and twisting it around.
Re: ‘Rape victim’ defends besieged Australian cleric

actually tonnes of proof buddy....
no where does it say in the Quran that women have to cover their faces of their heads
they are suppose to dress modestly and not show the curvature of their body....
and thats it, this veil and burka concept was there before Islam came and was just adopted as the official gear for muslim women for persians and arabs to accomodate themselves
These are the same people who made the rule that women cant drive
Are you going to tell me that Islam says they cant?

No where in the Quran does it say Read Durood-e-shareef during namaaz either. Does that mean we shouldn't pray? Where in Quran does it give you a step to step guide on praying?
So we shouldn't pray by that analogy?
The Dress code for a women was elaborated and explained, as well as put into practice by the Prophet pbuh.
But puting all that aside, because I'm assuming thats not sufficient evidence for you.... you mentioned dressing modestly and not show the curvature of their body, but at the same time told Angel Eyes that she has a "sad perception of the world" because she was talking on about Preventive measures. Which you supposedly support (dressing modestly.)
So whats really going on here?
As far as it goes for what women can do and can't do, maybe you should look up islam, and study it a bit for your own knowledge.
Look up Khadija r.a., Ayesha r.a. and as far as it goes for a women driving, look up "Battle of the Camel."
I mean that is a pretty low question to ask. And you dare compare the Imam who made this analogy is to American Puppets in Saudi?
If a women covers herself with a hijaab, or a sheet of cloth wrapped around her its hte same thing.
We're discussing preventive measures.
This Iman therefore was right to say what he said.
Keeping in mind he used the analogy of the meat and the cats. Which some of us can't really comprehend.
Maybe Analogies aren't your thing?
