Come on, get a clue..women do wear clothes to make themselves feel good about themselves. There is not one single reason why they wear the clothes they do. Some will wear a different colour as a change of mood, or because they’re bored..even some fat women wear very tight clothes..not everything boils down to sex. It’s like saying bodybuilders are inviting people to rape them, or why bodybuild if they dont want to look attractive to the opposite sex? I can tell you now, most bodybuilders aren’t interested in what other people think, most of the really heavily muscles bodybuilders arent even attractive to most people. Not everything a person does is for the pleasure of another person. Some people really do not care what other people think. This way of thinking is confined down to “religious” folk as far as I’m aware.

It wouldnt surpise me if he paid her to say it to save his skin. He did, after all, say he was ill to get some sympathy after it as well.

Anyone who is defending this is completely out of their senses. Why should you care what a woman wears? Thats her business, not yours. Your business is to not look at that “tempting piece of meat” and get on with your life. To even begin to justify rape through this argument is utterly retarded. Once again, get things in perspective. Its your moral duty to not get tempted, however easily it may be, and get some self control as a human being that you claim to be. You betcha’!. But more than that, the person who stole the car is still the sinner since he…well…stole it. He can, in no friggin way what so ever, justify this by saying that he got tempted to steal the car. Rape is twenty times worse than stealing and using the same stupid justification for rape is infinitely more retarded. If you show any sympathy for a rapist than you are truly a sad, sad person than I can truly not describe with words (atleast not with the words that are able to get through the filter).

PS. How convinient that there is some random girl that claims to have been raped and shows understanding for the statement made by the Imam. No one was charged in her rape so I call BS. Thats not to say that I’m a retard like so many on this board and that I am compltely oblivious to the fact that thousands of rape vicitims around the world do not file a charge against anyone due to the shame and tough trial and tribulations that would result, but in this case, it is quite obvious that something is going on in the background that we are not seeing.

There are two ways to deal with any crime....one is prevention and the other is punishment.

I have made this as simple as possible for people that are getting the issues confused and lack clarity in thinking.

You're missing the point of what the Imam said, which was that 65 years is too much for a rapist who was "led on" by a female mistress of seduction and that there's no mercy in that sentence. Why should there be any mercy, you tell me? The Imam actually wasnt on about any prevention, rather he was complaining that the sentencing of a rapist to 65 years in prison was too harsh!! Last, covering up does not stop rapes from occuring as the Middle East shows.

It's really quite unbelievable the way religious folk will go to any lengths to back up an Imam that justifies the crime of rape.

they are suppose to dress modestly and not show the curvature of their body....

and thats it, this veil and burka concept was there before Islam came and was just adopted as the official gear for muslim women for persians and arabs to accomodate themselves

No where in the Quran does it say Read Durood-e-shareef during namaaz either. Does that mean we shouldn't pray? Where in Quran does it give you a step to step guide on praying?

The Dress code for a women was elaborated and explained, as well as put into practice by the Prophet pbuh.

But puting all that aside, because I'm assuming thats not sufficient evidence for you.... you mentioned dressing modestly and not show the curvature of their body, but at the same time told Angel Eyes that she has a "sad perception of the world" because she was talking on about Preventive measures. Which you supposedly support (dressing modestly.)

As far as it goes for what women can do and can't do, maybe you should look up islam, and study it a bit for your own knowledge.

Look up Khadija r.a., Ayesha r.a. and as far as it goes for a women driving, look up "Battle of the Camel."
