:D…you don’t need to suppose if i am a muslim or not…you are perfectly entitled to think i am a non-muslim
i didn’t say that it was in the Quran…and i asked you..didn’t say what it was…i might be wrong…just that i have observed the ‘religioius dressed’ women are often those wearing head to to toe …and there are many aalims/scholars who say that whole body needs be covered…an example is this.. http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?HD=1&ID=514&CATE=2
and i am not here trying to convert this thread into religious discussion…it was about the source from which women draw their definition of modesty from…religion was just one of 3 sources i mentioned…
P.S… I quite enjoy the fact that there are some people who read each and everything i post in these forums…and then remember it too :hehe:
That is whats being asked........ from where do you draw the definition of 'proper'...
Leaving hands, face open but not in a burka style you can wear loose fitting shalwar qameez or pants and shirt loose , just cover your head :@: Don't kill me ladies.
Scholars’ opinions are also the interpretations of the word of God and hence they all differ from each other on khimar and niqab issue.
You asked me and I gave you an answer and then you asked “that means head to toe coz scholars say it’s head to toe?”. I don’t know what exactly you’re looking for. lol
And yes, I do read your and other posters’ threads and posts especially if they are about women and posted in Fashion and Beauty, pretty boy.
.one should also not force themselves to dress in a way that makes them a constant target of mockery and it mars their self esteem.
I agree with that BUT what if that dressing that makes them a constant target of mockery and hurts their self-esteem is ordained by religion? Then is it okay for them to dress in a way that's comfortable but it goes against religion/tradition?
