Please provide one LEGITIMATE reason why judiciary cannot/should not be restored at Nov 2 position as promised by BB.
I have been pondering but whatever reasons I come up with are all illegitimate/unethical, e.g. NRO protection, ‘missing persons’ case, need to have SC judges with criminal past so that they can easily be blackmailed, etc.

ii) The reinstated CJ will mostly like make the two biggest criminals, i.e. Musharraf and Zardari punishable for their actions

NRO: All over the world government has a right to withdrawn cases. NRO is not Pardon, it is withdraw of cases which two of government of Pakistan could not prove in eleven years.

1) NRO, why pardoned the corruption of billions of rupees, it was not Musharaf's money, it was money of people of Pakistan, the hard earned money, the money they are still paying the interest of, who the hell was musharaf to forgive him on that...
2) Now how technically it cannot be restored, for e.g. if someday takesover your house of property, what will you do? fight against that thug or will u be giving the same argument that, technically my house cannot be given back to me.. so i should give up and try to build a new one, untill that is also taken....
3) BB, is nothing more than a corrupt politician, she have done no good to the country but looted the wealth of the people, no body can name a single acheivement she had for the country... so her promises and speeches carries no weight what so ever.

American president's also give pardons before leaving office. While it is in bad taste, especially when you see who benefited from it, it is not some new thing in politics.

^^ Ofcourse the Altaf is enjoying the pardon, he was partner in last govt and killed many PPPP actvitist on May the 12th, yet PPPP is beding with MQM... i believe that if NS comes into power, MQM will find out or may i say work out a way to join him and stay in the power...

MQM had killed many on the 12th May, most of them were PPPP workers, is this what they died for, that their leaders and commrades join hands with their killers???

Pardoning a petty criminal is different from pardoning criminals running big mafias having political power, having stolen millions (if not billions) of national exchequer.

Ahmed, again.. if you cannot restore judiciary, how could you run your election campaign on this issue? how can you publicly, orally and in written promise that? And that too many times!
So, what you are suggesting is that it was all a camouflage to get votes?

I said that NRO was not a Pardon it was withdrawal of the cases.
In 1999 Retd CJ Iftikar gave power to Gen Mush change the consitution. He changed the constitution and fired Retd CJ Ifitiakr. So basically the CJ agreed the Gen MUSH would be big brother of his house. So Technically it was never broken or taken so it get not be restored. Only thing that is possible is to reinstate Retd CJ Ifitikar.
BB is corrupt but I am sinner to. But I sure you have never sined. Well I do not care wheter BB in going to Hell or Heaven I am no one to Judge.

You should look at some of the pardons given in the US. It's not for petty criminals.

He's not benefiting, he's still in the UK. And I do hope that the MQM will work with any legitimately elected government, even if they disagree on principles. That is the difference in mentality between muttahida and fasadi thinking.

I have just watched " Live With Talat - 9 March 2009 " and in it was a clip of Asif Zardari (or Maddari). He says that Nawaz Sharif and we as two families should have coalition for 2-3 generations.
Clip at the 9:50 - 12:00 minutes should be watched. He names his kids to have relationship with Nawaz Sharif’s kids and implies as if these two families should be ruling Pakistan. What a joker he is and I feel pity for all PPP supporters who supports the monarchy of Zardari(Maddari) or PPP. Shame on PPP and its followers.

I wish Raza Rabbani had resigned from PPP membership the day Zardari took charge of PPP (din dhaaray daketi), but the fact that he accepted him as leader and only resigned when he was not nominated for chairmanship of Senate shows what he stands for.

Taseer was appointed by Mushrraf in prearranged deal with Zardari to keep PML-N in check.
BTW, the way I see this political drama going is that Zardari has out smarted all of these people.
1) He agreed to keep Mush as president & and got whole bunch of goodies form him including NRO.
2) As soon as he got what he wanted from Mushy, he used NS to get rid of Mushrraf & got himself elected president.
3) He used courts to get Sharifs disqualified & now he is ready to make up with q-league & take over Punjab the most important province in the country.
So he has played his cards very smartly & as long as he does not challenge the army I think he will be around for next 4 years & we should get use to it & so should Sharifs. Also, Ifti isn't coming back as CJ & in 4 years he will be at the retirement age.
