A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

If we do send military forces to Saudi Arabia, whose responsibility is it? The military or the government?

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

Whose responsibility should it be? The army chief’s?

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

That is what I am asking you guys.

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

I think the army chief would be solely responsible. The government is here to enjoy their tenure and perks, why overload them with responsibilities?

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

Its been done. Pakistan decided to go. In breaking news.

Now bad dude says:

**Houthis Warn of "Wide War" as Saudi-Led Coalition Bombs Yemen**

Saudi Arabia and other regional allies have launched a military campaign in [Yemen](http://www.democracynow.org/topics/yemen) targeting Houthi rebels. The Saudi-led airstrikes are intended to thwart the Houthis’ advance after seizing control of the capital Sana’a last year and deposing President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi last month. Hadi called for international intervention on his behalf earlier this week. There are conflicting reports over his whereabouts as Houthis advance on his outpost of Aden. Unconfirmed statements say Hadi has fled Yemen by boat. The Houthi-run Health Ministry says the strikes have killed at least 18 civilians in Sana’a and wounded 24 others. The Saudi government says it has consulted "very closely" with the White House on its military campaign. Hours before it began, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the Houthis are stoking unrest. **White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest**: "The United States continues to strongly condemn the recent offensive military actions undertaken in Yemen that have targeted President Hadi. The actions of the Houthis and former President Saleh have caused widespread instability and chaos that threatens the well-being of all Yemenis."

Other countries involved in the military intervention are the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. The Houthis have warned the Saudi-led operation will set off a “wide war.” Iran, which backs the Houthis, has demanded an immediate end to what it calls “U.S.-led aggression.”

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

Another bad decision to jump in begani jang.

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

^^^

Good or bad, please let me have at least one oil well…

Yemen conflict is not new, it was there from for ever, today, Saudi are against the Shias taking control of Yemen and in past they were providing all kind of support to Shia ruling family, of Yemen and Egypt was supporting the Sunni rebellion.

Yemen is beautiful country with outstanding beaches of Aden and mind boggling mountainous region of Sanaa. The peace in the country can never achieved, reason is Saudi and Iran, they always intervene in Yemen and Like to have their puppet govt installed in center.

This president whom Saudi is so keen to support is its puppet…and the funniest part is, Saudi says Gulf states shall send their military…lol…somebody should tell them that Houti is not going to let them check their passports…

Pakistan’s involvement in the issue is tricky question, we like it or not, Saudi is Pakistani ally, and our economy is somewhat depended on them, we cannot just watch a country which have significant contribution in our Usd in flows just go bonkers and we got our share gutted… If we don’t someone else will and shall take the economic advantage as well…

The other side is, Yemen in no plains where IS is residing, it is mountain region and ideal for gorilla war fare, once we enter, Houti will make sure that we suffer huge causality…

Our support should be on providing military equipments and assets… And if any one can get me an oil well, that would great…

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

yemen is like the grand central hub of al keeda - houthis or no houthis, this is a lost piece of land. we all know whats going to happen in the ensuing power vacuum.

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

Bech dia ?

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

And here it starts again. All of you said that Pakistan would station troops in Saudi. They didn’t. Now the comments are we gonna send ground troops when the decision made is that a team consisting of army personnel will go to Saudi and talk to the government.

So lets not make the same mistake like a week ago.

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

Post 9/11 we had similar scenario other than ‘bomb to stone age’ that US was our one big economic partner other than “donor”, and today we are still in deep sh!t because of that partner, now another partner wants to pull us into other deep hole of sh!t.

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

This is silly. Why can’t KSA help herself, despite being the biggest arms importer in the universe? Do they use all of that for this?

Re: A question regarding the Saudi Request for Yemen

Pakistan should advise and do as the saudis in seventies used to complain to my dad’s friend about PAF : makhi marna.

In fact, after Saudis are trained perhaps we can deploy them as coalition in FATA. :hehe:
