You attacked the rulings when you stated that burqa is an oppression as it makes women "suffer" by asking them to protect themselves form lusty men. Not that we care about your attacks but try not to show this attitude (like you nothing said) after when your two faced methodology is exposed.
Burqa was oppression and punishment for women, just few posts ago, but now since your own two faced methodology is exposed, you were only seeking knowledge. Really, who you are trying to deceive?

If the primary purpose of Islam prescribing burqa is to protect women from prying eyes of men, wouldn't it be fairer to make some rule that makes it difficult for men to so pry instead of mandating it for women.

Suppose even if Islam didn't have the ruling for men (lowering gaze), how is it oppression on women or making them suffer for asking themselves to cover to save themselves from lusty men? Why do you have laws for asking women to cover their breasts and not opposing the same law on men? Is this not oppression and asking women to cover themselves to save themselves form stares of lusty men? Why don't you complain about that? If you are so fond of freedom and such then clean your garbage first before questioning others!
The problem does not lie in what question you ask! The problem lies in your corrupt methodology, bias views and deliberate deception about the truth of reality. If Islam does say something then there is an uproar but when same thing is imposed and enforced on you by your secular laws then you pretend as if it doesn't exist and you are so innocent of depriving women of "equal" rights.
