A question for the ladies

Why do you avoid desi guys in public places? You would prefer talking to gorays then with desis. I think most guys can attest to this. If you go up to a desan and ask a simple question like where is the following resturant and you get a cold shoulder and attitude like you are hitting on Princess Diana herself.

To add why do you think so lowly of desi men?

Re: A question for the ladies

The above do not apply to me. :snooty:

Re: A question for the ladies

LOL,

No one dare to approach me…sooo scary :roman:

Re: A question for the ladies

 males are probably thinking that talking to a hijabi is offending her…and out of respect for u, do not appraoch u :flower1:

ps, when i was a hijabi, only guys asking my dad’s phone number would appraoch me;)

Re: A question for the ladies

No my question is why DO you women avoid desi men in public?

Re: A question for the ladies

Fine shine, it doesn’t apply to you. :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: A question for the ladies

not really desi, but moslty guys wearing beard..or with a quite religious outlook, cause of gender segration and out of respect...as we don't know if that guy is or against talking to stranger females...than in doubt i prefer to talk to a gora...cause i'm sure he won't mind:D

the cold shower attitude, is not to show friendship...cause female/male friendship is not allowed in some desi/muslim families..so when i talk to a stranger, as i don't know if he is ok or not for friendships with opposite gender..i show distance...out of respect

Re: A question for the ladies

Wow…ironic.

Re: A question for the ladies

because the way most of the desi guys look at us...its creepy/and awkward...i live in a samll town there are no desis there..so i have to hang out with white/blak ppl...but everytime i go to toronto i get hit on by desi guys/perverted men...this has happened soo many times so now i have a thing for giving desi ppl dirty looks..lol

Re: A question for the ladies

i just plain avoid talking to pple in the street as much as possible
i get randoms asking time or directions which is no prob
i even find gorey avoid asking me and wil ask another gora
desi guys dont bother me much cos i am in hijab

Re: A question for the ladies

Its fun when people ask you directions on a street…I usually tell them wrong directions…thats wat they get for asking me :snooty:

Re: A question for the ladies

Re: A question for the ladies

LMAO…haahahaa you are my new hero!!! :omg: :omg: :omg:

Re: A question for the ladies

Wow. Being rude, ill mannered is now a good thing. If some desi guy did that to you, you would start a thread on it saying desi men are so rude. Hypocritical and ignorant.

Re: A question for the ladies

well!

I will have no problem admitting it i do. I literally feel a desi/arabi guy is doing nothing better but checking me out and will try every single technique of "line marying".

They got gandi nazrein and a woman knows when a guy is scanning her.

I so wish guys wont think like that but i cannot stop that. You start talking to them with a smile they think larki hansi matlab pasi.

On the other hand i do have gora friends we even call each other every now and then.

not saying all the guys are like that... do have some desi friends as well but very few are good rest... badtameez

Re: A question for the ladies

To answer your question, I don't avoid desi guys at all. I talk to them just as much I'd talk to non-desis. If anything I end up talking more to desis because of the commonalities we have.

As for thinking low of desi guys, I don't generally think low of desi guys. However, sometimes you can't help it think as such, especially when you have desi males making some rather traumatic confessions on GS. Yes, the traumatic confessions have affected me to a great extent.
