I am confused. It was a Civil War. It lasted close to two years. It was when the PLO actually took over Jordanian cities and landed 2 hijacked planes on Jordanian soil. So while the US had interests, didn’t Jordan have the interest of making sure its territory was under its own control.

I agree with you. Jordan had a right to deal with them as they wanted. My question is why Pakistan was involved? What was Pakistan’s role other than making Nixon happy?
