just saw this article in Dawn…an interesting read. I dont follow PPP politics closely but i am sure if i was alive and active in Z. bhutto’s days, i would have followed his politics actively. he was man of several colors, some good some bad. did a lot for this country and destroyed it as well. In any case, his hanging is another sad and black spot in our national history. How i wish, zia did not hang him. our history would be so different (no afghan mishap for sure) plus no zardari either!
damn…folks, think abt it…no zardari in our qismat had zia decided not to hang bhutto! bhutto would have never ever let bainazir marry zardari. never!
Re: A leaf from history: The prime minister is hanged
dawn is publishing more on bhutto…some really old pics that i never saw before . This gallery comprises images of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto originally collected by Agha Feroz. Agha Feroz was the personal photographer of the Bhutto family and mainly Benazir Bhutto and shared the same affluence as her till she was assassinated in 2007.

“There was a time when I traveled the world with Benazir in helicopters and aeroplanes, now I change two buses just to get to work. I never thought that my life alone would take a such a massive turn due to the demise of the Bhutto family.”
In 2013, Agha Feroz paid tribute to the Bhutto Empire by organising an exhibit at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park, Karachi.

Re: A leaf from history: The prime minister is hanged
He was a very charismatic leader. Those who have seen him and heard him are still in awe of his charm.
Goes to show how as long as you are in the good books of generals, you can thrive in Pakistan. As soon as you are considered to be ‘getting out of control’, you are reigned back.
Re: A leaf from history: The prime minister is hanged
you just got me thinking what would have happened had bhutto not gotten hanged? Probably not much as right around those times was the russian invasion of Afghanistan which just completely changed the political scene in Pak and Zia got immense support from US and KSA.
What are possible scenarios that would have taken place if bhutto was not hanged and Afghan war took place?
Re: A leaf from history: The prime minister is hanged
On the other side, though I dont know wut was the exact background of doing this speech, but here he either insulted Bengalis directly or the rest of muslim world which he was referring to. Either way, he lost it right there!
