^Yes exactly. He can say that he doesn't like her swearing, but he can say it in a less crude way without threatening to slap her. A lot of guys don't like their wives/partners swearing, there's no need to threaten to give her a thappar. I'm sure he wouldn't actually slap her, but he needs to control his own reaction as well then.

The guy deserves to be cussed out and she deserves a smack for being attracted to said he-moron.

She just needs to let him know that saying that he"wouldve slapped her" is not appropriate and can never be acceptable again.

Obviously this other side of the guy emerged slowly, he was THE dream guy in the first two years of the relationship. :halo:
She was shocked because nothing is more disrespectful to a girl than her guy threatening violent behavior, like a slap. Any girl would be offended and shocked, especially when he’s way out of line considering she did not use it towards him.

I mean, I would never ever swear in front of an elder person out of respect but if I am with a close friend or someone I can be totally myself, he/she will definitely be hearing swear words.

Exactly, but it was his reaction and choice of words that is off-putting to her. Would your guy saying that to you cause you to rethink the whole thing or you'd brush it off?

Y'know he just left things hanging in the middle of nowhere, which makes it trickier to decide what to do. If only he had slapped her...this would be much easier to answer. Sheesh.

they do need to mature a bit, both of them.
i really don't think saying you're going to slap someone and actually physically slapping are the same thing. he might have just said it to let her know that words like that shouldn't be uttered even if she was quoting somebody else, cussing is something i'm trying to stop too.......
I think this was totally blown out of proportion by the girl.....sorry, too much drama can be a bit annoying to anybody(gal or guy)

I think they both got worked up because the other person didn’t agree with their opinion. Guy said “i’ll slap you…” because he was rigid in his opinion about Amir Liaqut and couldn’t stand her not agreeing with him… And the girl started crying on umm not such a big issue because she was like… why can’t you agree with my opinion. Simple. When my husband and I don’t agree sometimes with something.. we tend to go overboard with our arguments too

People say things they don't mean whilst arguing I wouldn't read too much into it. I've had very bad arguments with my hubby but it always ends in hugs. We both say things we don't mean, that's why Islam says wen ur angry you should stop n take a deep breath it helps to avoid harsh words. If its the only time it's happened since they've known each other then it was probably because of the heat of the moment.
