A glas of water, trick.

Hi all,

Just to share this old trick with ya gals…singletons…or married…

IF your hubby asks for a glas of water… Just go silently and bring him the glas of water. Dont argue or comment.

**This trick is often used as couple is newly wed. This is his way to find out, how far he can go without you opening your mouth and commenting his action. **

** I heard others saying…this is also how some base their final verdict of a girl being a suitable match or not??? **

And for some unfortunate people, there are hubbies in this world, who will quote the deed of an ex factor…if you didnt bring the water fast enough…lol Be warned!

** While you are at the kitchen, have a cold glas of water yourself… ;-)**

Re: A glas of water, trick.

What? I don't get it.

Re: A glas of water, trick.

trust women to turn even a simple request for drinking water into complex head-games. :-\

Re: A glas of water, trick.

When you're looking for a pet dog, you may tell it "sit" If its butt hits the floor immediately and without complaint, its a good dog.

I think thats the general idea of this "wife test."

Re: A glas of water, trick.

What kind of complicated thread is that. Both Pathani and Mama need a glass of something, to think staright

Re: A glas of water, trick.

My wife wouldn't pass the test, because from the day one I requested her to not ruin my habbits, but in 1 month which I spent with her, she ddin't use to listen to me. Bringing water/ juice for me from time to time, ironing my clothes, combing my hair, puting creams on my face, waking me up for namaz, reminding me my duties, and doing all the other stuff which I am suppose to do myself.

Once I seriously but politely told her that her acts makes be embarrassed infront of myself and it is a torture for me. She said that if you don't let me do it than I would be tortured.

I decided to do her work like puting nail polish on her hands, bringing water for her, ironing clothes but she also didn't use to let me do it, and her firmness didn't let me insist on it.

I am not sure about her luck but Alhamdulillah Allah has blessed me with a wife alot more than I deserved. Her presence in the house made me feel the presence of "Barakh" of Allah in everything she did.( Masha'Allah)

Re: A glas of water, trick.

Brother STP,

u put nail polish on her nails.... that is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute :) :) :)

Muhammad SAW said (mafhoom): he who is best amongst you is he who is best in manners, and I am best to my wives :)

Re: A glas of water, trick.

Brother that shows so much care about each other. May Allah keep you both close forever AAmin!

Re: A glas of water, trick.

JAzakAllah khair sister pinks and brother nikka kaka for the kind sharing and words of encouragement.

The Prophet (saw) used to put a "Luqma" (piece of meal) in mouth of Hazrat Ayesha (r.a) while taking meal.

Following Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) really increases love between a couple.

Like always doing wudhu and saying Bismillah before any interaction with spouse doesn't let the devil come in between them, thus Allah put "barakah" and love in their words and actions to strengthen the relationship of their souls.

I read that doing wudhu and saying bismillah by a mother before feeding milk to her child also have a good effect on the child's character and personality

Re: A glas of water, trick.

You are not alone. I dont get it either.

Re: A glas of water, trick.

Thanks for sharing

Re: A glas of water, trick.

awwwwwwwww @ the nail polish cute

Re: A glas of water, trick.

Ya I'll tell him to get it himself.

Re: A glas of water, trick.

^^ and while he's at it, tell him to bring you one too : )

Re: A glas of water, trick.

Im glad, I stirred things up ;-)

Im serious....it wasnt amusing to hear guys giving tips on how to test future wife to be. I was disgusted. I mentioned it to my own brothers and they had a good laugh. One joked, he would like to try it out...I almost felt like breaking his bones....lol

Its weird....how genders test each other out...
Thanks for all the feedback.

For those who didnt understand:
Some desi men tries to test the qualities of a wife, by asking her to bring him a glas of water late night, when she most likely is sleepy or already gone to bed, but he feels like testing her patience or in his sick mind....her qualities.

Now, most desi guys claim a paki born will bring the glas of water right away.
Others would claim, girls born abroad will argue or get angry...lol

So if you want to pass the test, then bring the glas of water without any discussions. If you insist on your rights......then be ready for a bit of everything....lol

Re: A glas of water, trick.

pathani, i still dont get it. why would the man wanna test his wife after they are married? is he retarded or did his pa-in-law give him a replacement guarantee?
