Re: a formal outfit for within 10,000 pkr?

salam u can view our page Libas-E-Aam | Facebook for sure u will find stylish dress at economical range INSHALLAH

One thing I learned is that if you live abroad it's best to purchase readymade dresses if you can fit into those. My sister and I usually fit into size medium or small depending in style. I have found that to be more affordable and less headache. For casual to formalwear this is to way to go for ppl who don't have time or want to put the effort of designing.

A couple years we both went crazy eh getting stuff made by home based designers. While I must say most of the stuff was really good it was very costly Bc there was a lot effort by designer to replicate design.

I started selling readymade suits sold in high end boutiques and department stores for customers in USA. There are great designers who are replicating designs and I truly appreciate their work and effort but I found too much work and expensive. So buying readymade is one option if it fits your body size.

There is a very important detail everyone keep on forgetting to mention, non of us living abroad don't know how it is to go shopping in Pakistan in especially in summers. When u have to stay in a itzy bitzy tiny shop for half and hour or even longer, without any thing called fresh air or even a breeze of air and one sweat the hell out of you and you feel like puking because the shop smells of sweat from other customers to just find the right fabric and right color for the right price. And the never ending false promises of the tailor the three or fourth round that u make even in the night to collect your stuff which again isn't ready although u called 8 hours before to ask if u can pick up the clothes. And if someone is willing to do all that for me and is charging for it .....then yes he she deserves it. I don't have to buy from that person it is my own decision either way I'm just glad that there are still few ppl out there who do all these things bring an excellent finished product and still being reasonable in tagging the price. So thank you all who fits into the above description.

There is no doubt that getting a dressed prepared in Pakistan is huge headache! The tailors really give the run around. They don't finish the work till the last minute and tend to miss up orders....especially larger ones. There are exceptions of course...some are true to their word and have outstanding service but those are few and far between. You have to bargain and argue everywhere. So hats off hose hardworking women who day a great job. There are several on fb who are sweethearts like prototype, tatiyana, belle done and have read good things about panache too. But when want a dress EXACTLY A CERTAIN WAY it comes with a price tag. Just like building a dream home or dream car. If you can afford it or can splurge for an dress or two. Go for it. In Pakistan and in states I have found better on ready to wear to stuff. I do splurge for weddings for close family members or friends and get something custom made. I have been happy with most designers, although I have had size issue a number of times. It helps to be an educated customer.

Many customers don't understand that certain fabrics like chiffon and silk are costly. There are certain cuts that are expensive to replicate. It helps to know what you want and like and can afford.
