Re: a formal outfit for within 10,000 pkr?
i went to pak in june 2011 and the stitching for panel shirts n all that never came to 2000-2500, max was 1500even for chiffon and still ppl told me that shop was taking more but then there were high end darzis charging 3000rs for lawn suits too so as Muzna said as a consumer u do learn abt better rates and places. Also i went to khulla bazaar there the cloth was really cheap n other than cotton, lawn mostly those fabrics r no way low quality.
my hubby went to pak this yr and bought me many cotton/lawn stitched suits for 2000-2500rs. they had cotton dupattas instead of chiffon but the shirts r really nice. i threw the dupata n their trouser pants away n when i wear them with leggings ppl ask me where i got the shirt from. A friend of mine who goes Pak every year told me most of her suits were from thread n motifs n she bought them for 5-10k where if u ask anyone online they will charge u 150-300 easily. I myself saw a very delicate n elegant formal dress for 8k @ Chineyere.
Obviously not everyone in pak wears 15-20k formals.
OMG! that’s really cheap coz I was in Pak last year and my tailor was charging me way too much. This was in Islamabad. I was stupid enought to pay a guy 4000 for a panelled kameez. Time was short and I was really stressed about clothes not being made on time so I gave my clothes to 3 different people. The cheapest one was charging 1500 for a normal suit!
