'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

Re: 'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

hudd hotee hai TCS ki bhi..

Re: 'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

what TCS? because i wont take uneducated ooinions as facts?

sorry facts are facts, dont feed me half baked conspiracy theories as facts.
emergency is bad, I dont support it, but that in no way means that a becomes b and c becomes d.
facts remain as facts. no matter how much neo-economists on Gs want to disprove it.
Pakistan had excellent economic policies put into place before the war on terror, and even at that point those polcieis were being hailed as the right policies by major experts globally. so there, live with it.

I am probably going to get some lame dictator this, aid this type of post. save it. please.

I am more than happy to condemn the regime on what they have done wrong, but dont expect me to trade fact for fiction just to join in the blame game.

while I know ppl impacted in this emergency, I can not just agree with theories that I know to be wrong.

as i have said before that is a basic problem, blind supporters which there are plenty will not see a fault, and blind opposers will not see any good. and such ppl are obviously way too biased to be taken seriously by me.

Re: 'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

RabelX my last post was about the title "**'A father of the economic miracle " :) **no doubt that he lead Pakistan to some economic stability but it DOESN'T mean we start calling our leaders with such titles.. we already have Quide-Awam, QUID-e-Tehreek, DakhTar-e-Mashriq etc etc

Re: 'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

and not to forget ameer ul momineen and mard e haq.
i get yer point, carry on carry on :)

Re: 'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

People who think that all his sins should be forgiven just because of economic achievement cannot be taken seriously either even if they put disclaimers in their posts to the contrary.

Re: 'A father of the economic miracle in Pakistan: Army Chief Pervez Musharraf'

I agree his sins can not be forgiven for the good that he has done, but at the same time the good that he has done can not be ignored for his sins either.

the people from whom its black and white its either all good or all bad, those are the people who can not be taken seriously ..and we have plnety of those around here..

Because they have demonstrated the lack of rational thought. the blind musharraf supporters who would ignore any of his errors, or blind musharaf opposers (who also usually tend to be closet supporters of previous crooks but are embarassed to admit it openly) who would ignore any good that he did..I dont give any weight to either of these two groups.

and as I have said. this sins and good balance needs to also be compared to the same balance for other potential choices that ppl support, (whether ropenly or in a hidden manner) to have a realistic view of what we would be in for in the future, regardless of is someone is pro or against musharraf. interestingly enough, thats an analysis ppl are rather unwilling to get into :)

Omantel bids $204m for 65% stake in Pakistan firm

Muscat: Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has offered $204 million to acquire a 65 per cent stake in Pakistani firm World Call Telecom. “We have decided to invest in World Call Telecom as we are keen to increase our annual profits as well as share earnings,” said a statement issued by Omantel on Saturday.

Omantel plans to purchase 60 per cent of the stake from the major owners of the Pakistani company and five per cent from other shareholders through the securities market. Omantel said this investment - the first of its kind outside Oman - is expected to boost the company’s revenues in the medium-term by 19-25 per cent and increase its net profits by 3-14 per cent. Omantel told the Capital Market Authority it would provide more details on the deal after completing legal formalities.
