People visit Yazeed's l.a grave in syria only to piss on it. there are salt fossils growing on his grave. For some sins Allah shows you the signs in this world.
The exact location of Yazid's grave isn't known with certainty. The most probable location is not accessible to public since it has come inside the boundries of a brick making kiln downtown damascus.

The location of Yazid's prison now comes inside the graveyard of Bab-as-sagheer where many members of the Karbala's Hussaini caravan where laid to rest including Sayyedah Sakina bint Hussain. Towards the western extension of the graveyard is the original and historical old cemetary where lies the graveyards of Yazid's father, Muawiyah and his aid Abdur rehman bin Auf. The place is an absolute shambles and I have seen many visitors throw litter on their graves. That place is mistakingly taken as Yazid's burial place.

yeah i think its most likely ibn khalid he died "mysteriously " in syria in muawiyah's time ....he was a commander in his army and more importantly very popular with the syrian army at that time
yazid was definitely NOT a companion of the Prophet (SAW). he was a hypocrite..he drank, gambled, and did all of these bad and forbidden deeds.

I understand what you are saying Das Reich, and there were actually few of Imam Husayn's sahabis named Yazid, according to this Shia friend of mine, but I still think its strange why those who call Yazid bin Muawiyah a sahabi of the Prophet, never seem to name their sons Yazid.
