A Critical Decision

This test only has one question, but it’s a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line.

THE SITUATION

You are in New Orleans. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions.

You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you’re caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless.

You’re trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.

THE TEST

Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris.

You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar.

You suddenly realize who it is. It’s George Bush! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever.

You have two options–you can save the life of George Bush, or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize-winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world’s most powerful men.

THE QUESTION

Here’s the question, and please give an honest answer:

Would you select high-contrast color film,
or
Would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

Re: A Critical Decision

High contrast of course...I am going to make every effort possible to capture his expressions...It's expressions which win prizes...

And color films can be turned to B&W later on...

Re: A Critical Decision

Neither. I'll try to save him.

Re: A Critical Decision

Truckie...You are big hearted person...

You also don't get jokes...

Re: A Critical Decision

I’ll try to bring laura bush. :hehe:

Re: A Critical Decision

Haha. And I thought the question would be whether you'd save him or not, and I was ready to say yes (before I finished reading the whole thing) I'd save him even though I don't like his administration. :D

Re: A Critical Decision

Hahaha good one Faisal I was under the impression that the question would be more humanitarian than professionalism. Well with the choices above and keeping in mind the factors related to this situation I would still utilize the available resources. Capturing nature in its natural way...

Re: A Critical Decision

I wouldn’t fudge with the camera. I would rather see the whole episode without distractions and then say sigh tsk tsk too bad

Re: A Critical Decision

First…I would say to myself…Khuda ki laathi bay awaaz hai…Dekho gunaah gaaron perr kiss tarhaan saay azaab nazil hotaa hai…Then i would shout someone for help(Inner conscience & guilt factor)…& obviously when i wouldn’t get help from anyone anywhere(ofcourse i wouldn’t make my hands dirty by touching this sinner)…I would then take a high-contrast color picture…:hehe:

Re: A Critical Decision

black and white

Re: A Critical Decision

Re: A Critical Decision

Neither. I am not stupid enough to keep any evidence of a crime that I just committed.

Expedites the process by pushing the head down in the water

Re: A Critical Decision

Re: A Critical Decision
