She may not have had a physical affair but it definitely sounds like she had an emotional affair, and while hitting/physical violence is NEVER EVER EVER EVER okay, I can understand why H’s husband started to get suspicious and become insecure. Put in that situation, I’m sure any wife would feel the same.
