I think people like Salbhai and others must visit cities like Banglore and Hydrabad. Yougs from all over India are resinding there and due to cast, state and status problem they cannot get sanction of their parents to marry and as a result many couples are living together without marriage knots.

Very rarely people get out of govt. jobs just because your boss is a brahmin. These days you can kill a Brahmin and still be hailed as a saint. Infact you will be a hero. What surprises me is your dalit friend also took a transfer, coz had he registered a atrocity case, then the entire boss family and his mohalla would be behind bars for years. No need of any proof.
What would my dalit friend complain? It was an issue of promotion.
If you work hard and sacrifice your several nights and weekends and holidays for the shake of work and for the department and loose your seniority and promotions while the other guy gets a promotion just because he is a brahmin then what you can do. Would you like to work for such a dirty guy? And after loosing your seniority when you try for a transfer then this guy goes and tells his superior that he needs you and cannot afford his transfer then what you can do. This is what happened with me. And I know this is rampant in every Indian company whether it's a private owned or govt controlled.
In late eighties and early nineties, the company sent many executives to Europe and Russia for training. Whoever was a Telgu Brahmin (My boss included) then they got a chance to visit Germany, Italy, France and UK and those who were non-brahmins could go only to Russia.
In most Indian companies your performance is not important. The most important qualification is your caste and the region you belong to.

^are u talking about private or govt owned business. Because its difficult for me to believe that brhminical hierarchy exist in govt jobs. 20 years ago I could see govt offices filled with people of higher cast but now to any govt u go, u can find people of lower cast in dominant positions.

The reality is that in Gov't jobs SC/ST, Dalits rule. They even have promotions reserved for them - no body can deny promotion to SC/ST's whether they perform or not. I know of cases where all you need to is to "threaten reference to SC/sT commisssion" and no one would dare speak anymore.
Does any one want to try Gov't jobs and see the power of SC/ST's and Dalits you are all welcome to try.
In the private sector no body cares because merit is the only criteria. You would be the first to be thrown out if you look at castes before dealing at any level.
In the poltical space Dalits and the backward caste are very powerful. Tamil Nadu, UP are large states that are ruled by the them. Which is how the wheel of democracy works and its perfectly fine. The political power keeps growing everyday.
The debate today is about reverse discrimination which the myopic backward classe leaders seems to perpetuate even against the directive of the Supreme Court.
