Atleast he can speak his mothertoungue lang which is urdu! just look at urself, you cant even speak urdu properly. I disagree, the moment he steps up on the international arena, as the captain of our country, he does indeed stand as an ambassador. There are a people in this world, who pre Daniel Pearl knew pakistan solely through the cricketing achievements. Case in point, he speaks like a retard, they can at least afford a) a translator b) some English classes.
And no this isn't "slave" mentality. We use English, the closest thing we have to an international language... and represent our country in a positive light. And to do otherwise reaffirms beliefs and misconceptions that all people live in huts and drink chai out of saucers whilst mending rips in their kaprai.
And my urdu, Gupshup or ammi jaan kai karam sai, is pretty good. If I can learn urdu in 2 years, what the hell is inzis problem.

That is arbitary, he is representing Pakistan to a world where the most commonly spoken or understood language is English. Not, unfortunately, urdu.
