Mindless, it wouldn't be so bad if the Indians didn't speak English as eloquently as they do. It makes us look bad. Previous captains havent had a problem with English. They should just stick to Urdu.

I didn’t catch the interview, but couldn’t he have answered in Urdu since that would have been understood by the audience of 1.3 billion in the subcontinent

He’s a cricketer and that’s the reason he’s being interviewed. Ability to speak English is no criterion for sportsmanship skills.
He would speak Urdu/Punjabi I’m sure if everyone understood it. He’s just being considerate to everyone and trying his best to communicate that’s why he is speaking in English.
And catty yaar so what if the Indians can speak better English. The point here is cricket not English or speaking skills. Indians are Western wannabes anyway.

Gamma high profile job per hone mein en ki education ya en ki english ka nahi balke en ke game ka kamaal hai. It's not their fault if they can't speak it properly. It's all about the background of education and India's education system is much better than Paakistan's so if Indians speak good english it's not their kamaal and if Pakistanis don't its not their fault. Inzi ko blame mat karo :( he looks so innocent bechara.

And yes Gammay Indian education system is better than ours, as Mindless said its not their kamaal. Hamaray cricketers galYon mein cricket khel ke seekhtay haen and they don’t go to fancy schools, Indians have more resources than us.

catty yaar I don't know whose respect they commanded. Prolly the western wannabe's respect. I for one respect Inzi the most. Wasim Akram toh mujhay psand nai tha kabhee bhee he seems a bit stuck up. Imran Khan NOW is okay, since he's changed and realised his culture.
And our cricketers try to speak English just coz they're considerate that people who don't understand the desi tongue are listening to them as well. Otherwise they can also speak in the mother tongue and ask the cricket board to employ translators for them. Many politicians do that.
