INDORA(Kangra): In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old boy earned the dubious tag of being the country’s youngest rape suspect after he was booked for the alleged rape of a six-year-old girl after subjecting her to violent assault.
Charged under section 376 (rape) of IPC, the accused was granted bail by a juvenile court after spending a night in a police lockup.
And in what is getting to be a disturbing trend, the violation was reported days after three 10-year-olds in a Haryana school were booked for molesting a four-year-old girl studying in the same school.
Children of daily wagers from Jalora Mohalla near here, the two minors were home alone when the disturbing act apparently played out. They’ve known each other for years and used to play together. On Sunday, too, they were playing at the girl’s residence while their parents were out for work. The boy apparently dragged the girl inside the bathroom and restrained her there. When she fought back, he allegedly beat her up before assaulting her, Indora police station (Himachal Pradesh) SHO Ramesh Rana said on Tuesday.
Police registered a case on the complaint of the victims parents, who found her crying and bleeding profusely when they returned home in the evening.
A medical examination of the victim and the accused confirmed rape. The accused had injuries on him, seemingly inflicted after the victim put up resistance, the SHO said. Picked up immediately after the police complaint, the boy was granted bail by the juvenile court in Una on Monday evening.
The parent & media are prime responsible for this shocking incident. Ugly sex seen are shown on tv and films. father and mother are responsible for leaving the girl and boy alone in the house the tv and media should avoid to show the sex flims but it is too late to teach the lesson and could not control evil tv media of the world.](9-year-old boy booked for rape | India News - Times of India)
i wud like to share the an aggressive comments made by a person regarding the culprit on time of india website.
"its the right time to cut off their balls, who knows what this boy will do after becoming an adult. Making them impotent at this age is the best solution."
Wake up and come out of your cave. This happened about a month ago in the US too.
Atleast it got reported. In some countries even if the incident had happened nobody would have got to know about it and the girl would have been stoned for the fact that she was not dressed appropriately.

It is very easy to make such statements. The mind of a nine year old is difficult to understand. Proper counselling can lead this kid to the right direction.
Then Indians should be happy that they're following the footsteps of their Guru USA. Many Indians on this forum want to turn India into West.
In a way we are happy that the issue got reported and the police is trying to take action against the culprit. In some societies this incident would have gone unreported and even if it got reported some religious scholars would have questioned what dress the girl was wearing and what not !!!

How can you generalize? This can happen anywhere in the world. Seeing the onslaught of sex and nudity in the media, it's not that surprising. It's a very sad and unfortunate incident. poor girl.

as a OP i wud suggest u to analyze it as a social issues . discuss its causes and effects. dont make it india - pak hatred discussion..
i know many cases happened here in karachi, that were of the same nature though not that shocking as i have shared above ........... so i think it is of no use to make it a country specific issue.

What is an OP?
Fact is fact. There was a thread about a Pakistani singer who ordered to turn the plane back to airport and someone said "only in Pakistan", no one protested.
If you read carefully, the similar incidents are taking place in different parts of India, I don't hear anything in news about countries other than Indiafor similar incidents where children were involved in sexual crimes.
I hope these kind of crimes don't spread in whole world and stay in India so people can easily control them.
