That comment ("only in Pakistan) was made by a Pakistani poster. Here its a Pakistani making a comment about India. The two comments have very different connotations...

Do you watch CNN? USA is notorious for that. Indians are as human as other people of the world facing the same challenges, perhaps more as there is poverty, lack of education and frustration, etc. etc.

Other Indians want to prove that India will be like USA in 10 years(please read other articles posted in WA), they should know USA is not the example to follow. This is all I wanted to say.

The truth is that India cannot and should not compete with USA. The cultures are different, the goals are different, the resources are different. The sudden westernization has been detrimental in the depletion of the values India could have been proud of. Unfortunately, along with industrialization, we've lost a lot on the way.

However, I have never been one to poke fun at any community, culture, race or religion. Somehow I see that happening a lot. I guess people are so much into tit for tat these days :(

Trying to be like the US economically or militarily or even in terms of infrastructure is not the same as aping their social norms & values.

The kind of movies Bollywood is producing now days are pathetic and shameful. I know about lollywood too but what percentage of whole subcontinent watch them. Not even 1% i guess.

I wont say only Parents should be punished but Media and Govt. are more responsible.

Anyway the thing is, its time to wake up. No one is perfect but plz realise your own duties and responsibilities. Evil doesnt take time to spread but its very hard to stop it.

I am surprised that many posters here are blaming the media for these kind of incidents. Every child is exposed to the same media and it is not as if these kind of incidents are common place.

It is just that people are more aware and these kind of incidents are coming to light. Nobody can deny that there is black sheep in every generation and it is only during this period that we see such kind of incidents being highlighted. People are getting more aware. Years back, child marriages were common and nobody knows what kind of torture the poor bride had to go through being married to people who were 3 or 4 times their age.

^first you cannot ignore media role here. you cannot call them innocents.

secondly do nt give examples of old times. You are forgettting that we humans are supposed to be more civilized and more prudent in our actions now. The ethical values which in case were ignored or never got attention in past for some reasons, should be highlighted today and Promoted n supported by all means. Or else there would be no use of this modernization and civilization of socities and all the progress men has made till now since its birth. By giving examples of 17th 18th century, the hedious acts of today cannot be justified.

I am not giving the example of old times... Media is doing a good job of highlighting these incidents and alse the repercussions of these incidents.

It is just the easy way out to blame the media and not pin down responsibility of the incidents. Here we are talking about a 9 year old who might not even be thinking logically. It is a case of black sheep. The boy should be counselled.

Its coz the exposure and access to these kind of things/info i.e. sex, what is it? how its done? why its done? what does it do to you ? etc is sooooo easy. Every nalaaiq and nikama, every that person who cannot utter a single word of english, every that useless who can not earn one ruppee of his own, wont know anything in world but if you ask him about this subject, you will be shocked that he knows more than what he should know.

I was staying in hotel in Lahore. Stayed there for two nites n three days. There was a computer kept in the corridor which had rooms on each sides opening onto it. Everytime I passed by that computer, i found it on with a window already opened ,full of nude pics of men n women. I would walk away that place as qucik as possible coz i was afraid if anyone came out from the room or from somewhere, he/she might think i was using that computer :smack: So thats whats happening and i dont know why the hell no one is taking any action against it. If UAE can block access to all kind of pron sites and all sites that can have such material on it, like on Youtube all those vids r blocked which can have any immature scenes in it…then why the hell our countries cannot do that same???

There is no society whose example is worth following today. If some Indians claim that India will be like USAin 10 years then they mean that in Technological, or economical terms not that family values will be lost in those coming years. Or our children will start raping little girls. I m sure that no one is that much sick on this board. So plz remove ur misunderstanding about Indians.

A 9-year-old is not mature enough to judge whats right or wrong if U can get me. But an adult who abuse a child is a bigger culprit. The child who has abused the little girl should get proper councelling and be kept under watch. Its not a very good idea of turning this tragic and bizzare incident into an excuse to bash someone U dont like. I m sure that U will get many more opportunities to do this all. So plz spare this thread from ur India-bashing comments.

Sad inncident indeed....but knowing Indians i doubt if they will do anything to prevent this kind of incidents in future.

Other day i was listening to one of the Indian radios ( i guess it was Kismat Radio) and there was an Indian sitting down discussing about Pakistan future, terrorism...and Manmohan Singh comments regarding India facing more terror threats etc etc. That Indian girl was busy bashing Pakistan.....

Now i dont understand the problems with the Indians, whenever i log in to GEO, Ary or any other Pak news channel; i dont see them making Anti-India headlines...hyping up theories against India etc etc....

While on the other hand if i log in to site such as Times of India , star news, indian radios or even Indian b'wood movies..... i will only see one thing....and that is bashing pakistan at its best.... i will get to read headlines such as "Declare pak a terrorist estate", " X amounts of people get raped in Pak", " Imran had affair with BB" etc etc....

How about India media highlight such inncidents? How about they report more about their own country? How about they try to act like "mature" and not like excited monkies? Few days ago i saw the video of a 13yr old indian girl bashing Pakistan......is this what their parents teach thier kids in india? 9yr old raping a girl? How about they put some education & 'aqaal' in his head? But No ! They wont do it.....they are busy discussing about Pakistan future, reporting Anti-Pak news....how sad and pathetic.

Naturally, U wont find 10 or more or less Indians being smuggled to Pakistani cities just to kill innocent Pakistanis. So anti-Indian headlines arent needed to find place in ur newspaper, still U need to read carefully, I think U will find what U like to read in ur media.
