SRINAGAR, India (AFP) — Nine Indian soldiers were killed and 16 others injured Saturday when their bus was hit by an improvised explosive device in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, the army said.
The attack was the second deadliest attack against the Indian armed forces in the divided state since India and Pakistan started a peace process in January 2004.
“We have nine fatalities,” Indian army spokeswoman Neha Goel told AFP, adding that over a dozen others were hurt in the explosion in Narabal on the outskirts of Indian Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar.
A police officer confirmed nine had died and 16 others were hurt when their bus drove over the mine.
“The terrorists had planted an IED (improvised explosive device) under the soil on a road that was being repaired,” Goel said, adding it went off when a bus, part of a big military convoy, ran over it.
Are you happy now? This Saad_UAE guy is absolutely drunk with Indian hatred. If you want to me to post everything against Islam or pakistan I can start a thread for every minute by googling. Do not piss off people…
Re: 9 Indian Soldiers killed,16 hurt around Srinagar
I am sure it is sad and loss of lives is never rejoiceable but that is true for both parties in a war like scenario.
When Kashmiris got killed by Indian forces then people say, well it's good that terrorists are gone, but one has to feel the oppression that Kashmiris feel on a day to day basis.
And Indians who blaim Pakistan for whatever that goes on in Indian occupied Kashmir are biased and influenced by their governments propaganda.

if terrorists die then whats wrong in saying that a terrorist is gone. you dont see any Indian opening a thread every time Pakistani soldiers surrender in hundreds, killed by "terrorists" , killed by Americans, or everytime something crazy happens in pakistan occupied kashmir.
let go some venom and live the life a bit...
RIP brave soliders. i hope their soul rest in peace and terrorists rot in hell.

Illegal occupants of Kashmir carrying weapons, mandating their terms, and terrorizing local civilians are also terrorists, so whats wrong in saying that a terrorist is gone?

Actually I've seen that many times.
How many times have you seen something crazy happen in Pakistan occupied Kashmir?

indian army is the one keeping kashmir from becoming another balochistan. you never been to kashmir so shut up. i have been there many times , once with white american friends too. kashmir is indian problem and you should have nothign to do with it. i dont tell you what to do with your country unless it is in good faith, and i expect same from you.
rest assured that kashmiris are more free then pakistanis.

I am Kashmiri, and have spent more time in Kashmir than you ever will.
The Indian occupation forces stationed in Kashmir are bigger terrorists than even the militants they're allegedly protecting us from...they're war criminals, plain and simple. After all, there's a reason why as bad as the militants are, the people of Kashmir still have a more favorable view of them than of the Indian army.

The problem is.......... Kashmir is a world recognized "disputed territory" and not a part of your country... Kashmiris are fighting a freedom struggle for the last 60 years and deserve a better deal then Indian occupiers.

Indian army is committing war crimes in Kashmir and killing people fighting for their freedom. Kashmiri freedom struggle would continue with indigenous support of Kashmiris as they have already spent 60 years of hell, living under Indian occupation.
I agree with Mods to let you know that this forum is not a place for these baseless accusatons and personal attacks and without a logical reasoning what so ever.
Saad .... the people who are responsible for this blast are based in Paksitan, so what do you have to say to that. Or you still think that it is a baseless accusation.

Based in Pakistan, what's the proof?? That Indian authorities got a call from these "suspected people"??

India is guarding its own boundaries. every country in this world has a right to do so. if locals supported independent kashmir then it would have become one by now. you might have a different view but not everyone in my mother land agrees with you.
i have known kashmiris since i was a kid and i know they are nice people. and you never know i might retire in kashmir when i am old.

the world recoganizes Pakistan as the problem source (if they know what kashmir is). but there are worse problems world is worried about. no one cares what happens in the subcontinent.
talking about deals, Why dont you let go the Pakistani occupied kashmir?

And how can you quote attack on military as struggle for freedom by kashmiri. Hizbul ul mujahedin took the responsiblity of the attack and they are classified as Terror organization funded by ISI.

No country has a right to commit the kind of war crimes India has...from butchering tens of thousands of civilians and raping thousands of women, to arson and looting, your army has done it all. Not to mention how they've recruited their own band of thousands of militants that they use to terrorize the local population.
if locals supported independent kashmir then it would have become one by now.
What a stupid argument.
The British occupied India for at least 190 years before they were expelled...by your logic, for most of that time Indians must have loved colonial rule, because they would have gotten their independence much sooner if they hadn't.
you might have a different view but not everyone in my mother land agrees with you.
No one is talking about your motherland. We're discussing Kashmir, and the people there have repeatedly made it abundantly clear that they want nothing to do with Indian rule.
i have known kashmiris since i was a kid and i know they are nice people.
Indeed we are. What does that have do to with wanting to live under Indian occupation?
and you never know i might retire in kashmir when i am old.
Thankfully Indian still aren't allowed to buy land in Kashmir.
