80 killed in Peshawar church blast

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

National Maududian Hypocrisy and the Peshawar Blast

As the nation comes to grip with the horrible massacre of Christians in Peshawar, Haider Maududi on Duniya TV (which shamelessly said “jo kachra saaf kartay thay un ka safaya ho giya) decided to muddy the waters by claiming that this was bound to happen in a country founded in the name of religion.

FACT: This fiction that Pakistan was founded in the name of religion is the doing Haider Maududi’s father Maulana Abu Ala Maududi (who had in 1947 opposed the makers of Pakistan.)

FACT: Abu Ala Maududi was behind the 1953 riots against Ahmadis and resorted to violence against Ahmadis which that community faces even today.

FACT: Abu Ala Maududi and his Jamaat-e-Islami shamelessly participated in the massacre of Bengalis as the Army’s B-Team in 1971 in the name of the same Pakistan that Bengalis had fought to create 25 years earlier.

FACT: Abu Ala Maududi’s Jamaat-e-Islami shamelessly supported General Zia’s Coup in 1977 and participated in the 9 star alliance to impose Islamic Law in Pakistan.

FACT: Jamaat-e-Islami, Maududi’s creation, continues to support Taliban.

Of course this Maududian hypocrisy is a national phenomenon. Take for example ANP – the great bastion of secularism.

FACT: ANP’s forerunner Bacha Khan supported Faqir of Ipi’s Jihad against Pakistan to “rid” Pakistan of its un-Islamic rulers.

FACT: As NAP (ANP’s former name), the Party participated not just in the making of the 1973 constitution but was the foremost supporter of the 2nd Amendment to the Pakistani Constitution which brought sectarianism, not just religion, into the Constitution.

FACT: ANP was part of the PNA which sought to impose Islamic Law and Sharia on Pakistan and contested 1977 elections on this platform.

FACT: ANP was part of the agitation that brought Zia into power.

Even the PPP is not immune to National Maududian Hypocrisy:

FACT: PPP drafted and passed the 1973 Constitution after getting it vetted from Maududi.

FACT: PPP wanted to pass the 2nd Amendment to score brownie points.

FACT: PPP started the Islamization process in Pakistan.

FACT: PPP started the Afghan Jihad.

So my suggestion to Haider Maududi… instead of lying about why or how Pakistan was created… blame your father who is the kingpin in the whole sordid saga.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

Another dark day in Pakistan. I wonder when will this long night be over?

The way this KPK government of PTI is acting, the political future of this party will eventually be buried deep never to be resurrected. They should wake up.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

I don't think they even realize this. They have reached that point in three months that raisani took five years.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

This is the biggest crisis PTI govt is facing. This will tell whether they can deal with criticism and can come out with a plan rather than a rhetoric.

PTI must produce a meaningful plan rather than adopting five years old FAILED policy. Those calling for actions in FATA, our nation/army is NOT ready for the fall out of a full fledged action against militants. We will have IDPs, where will we accommodate them? If 2 lac army personnel are engaged in FATA, what will happen to rest of pakistan when terrorists lose it.

Its easy to call for a full fledged operation sitting in a cosy drawing room in lahore or karachi. But feel for the tribal people who are crying out for peace and stability... Although this time tribal leaders also need to show loyalty towards pakistan once and for all. Onus is on them too. Onus will be on Punjab & Karachi to accommodate the IDPs. Will these provinces do that?

Whatever happens, has to open quicker than ever. Its not about party interests anymore. Its national interest.

The only positive to come out of this is that our nation is not entirely dead from inside. The rage felt towards innocent christians massacre has been responded with utmost disgust, pain and support for minorities.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

First and foremost we strongly condemn the suicide terrorists attack on innocent Pakistanis. And send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives in this heinous crime. We stand by the people of Pakistan in their time of grief. It is sad to see the terrorist’s apologist trying to turn this tragedy into a blame game. This is nothing but the evil design of the terrorists who have no interest in any negotiations. All they want is to enforce their evil will on the people of Pakistan. The United States has always desired a peaceful and stable Pakistan. We know that Pakistan is a nuclear state with its strategic importance in the region. And that is one of the reasons we desire a good working relationship with Pakistani people and it’s Government. It is ridiculous to even think that The United States have anything to do with this or any attacks in Pakistan when a Taliban-related extremist group has already claimed responsibility for the atrocity. Ahmed Marwat, the spokesman for the TTP Judullah, a militant Muslim group, said the church was targeted because “they are enemies of Islam, therefore we target them.” Marwat added that the attacks may not be the last of its kind. “We will continue our attacks on non-Muslims on Pakistani land.” The overwhelming majority of Pakistanis have already rejected the terrorism, and terrorists openly claim responsibility of their coward actions, so why are still some who think it is not the terrorists who do these evil acts! It is time for all to unite against this evil and wipe it out once and for all.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

Re: 15 killed in Peshawar church blast

We all forgot jihad is haram as determined by Hollywood.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

this barbaric act is clearly to stop peace talks from taking place. the army generals paid by good ol US of A want to get back at Taliban, that's why this attack was needed. sorry to say but our nation is not just emotional but dumb and naive when they can't see the reality. fools stay fooled.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

Yes the 210 attacks before this one were also carried out by the army. My poor ol' taleban are very innocent and peace-niks.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

Yeah the whole "my dear militants please spare the mighty Punjab and wreck havoc from Karachi to Quetta" seems to be the only successful formula to maintain local peace.

Perhaps PTI should take a leaf out of Shahbaz Sharif's book to finally please some hopeless Pakistanis.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

taliban take responsibility when they done the act. as for this particular one and many in the past, smells like good old false flag op done by* whoever you want to blame. *

before the patriots come to defend their army, let's not forget recent Egyptian army killing its own people for outsiders' pleasure. pak army has already done it, they're not angels.

Re: 80 killed in Peshawar church blast

Their brothers Jundullah have taken the responsibility for the attack. TTP have already indicated that they will continue their attacks, so nothing new here. If they were serious they could have cease fired which they didnt.
