Too bad, some one should knock some sense in those idiots.
I think it is time now for scholars to take firm stance on certain issues. Now i am starting to believe that ulema are at fault for not speaking up. At times they dont speak haq for the life threat from army or TTP as no side is innocent in this.

If your are targeting PTI, then even Imran has said this is our war and in case of peace talks failure, military operation will be the way forward. While on the other hand our military says, peace talks should be given a chance ( this was said the day after a General was killed in Lower Dir)
Things are not as simple and personal as some people think they are. A lot has changed and people must acknowledge this.

What has changed? Pakistan army has already done peace deals with the taleban a number of times which have failed every time. There was a national consensus for Swat operation (as a result of it TTP had started infiltrating neighboring Buner), only Imran Khan opposed it (and still opposes it).

You are just being selective and I am sure you are deeply upset by the latest tragedy that's why perhaps you are having difficulty accepting facts and change in the situation. I just thought you might feel a bit better after knowing that Imran for the first time in his political career has shown on record support for military operation, in case of diplomatic failure. But lets the just stick with Immi wasn't happy for Swat operation and that's it, Pakistan is doomed.
Was the previous peace talks even legit under America's 'do more, do more' soft threats or lets just say pressure? Swat operation was always on cards...peace deal really was an attempt to see how far they can go.

We will see the results of these peace talks in a few months. The TTP are in commanding position at the moment where as the government/army is on its knees. The state can not negotiate from a point of weakness. With terrorism continuing I dont see any results of these hyped peace negotiations. The only fear I have is that the confused policies of the government of KPK could strengthen TTP in the province.

What makes you think they are genuinely negotiating? If anything, this could be quintessential military tactic to buy some time for war planning. Maybe somewhere in Pakistan, thousands of jawaans are being trained to fight in a within borders, sophisticated combat mission? Britain certainly played the whole appeasement trick with the Nazi Germany so they could have enough time to produce the amount of weapons to match Germany's military might. They were also doing the same thing in 1919- 1922 when everyone went absolutely berserk with the idea that a mighty Empire is kneeling in front of a bunch of carpet sellers (Turkish nationalists). This is how wars and military work. The reality is, in military terms, peace talks/appeasement is not always a genuine agreement to sign peace, often it's just a tactic to buy enough time to prepare for the war.
