Another thing that we can see is the negative impacts of provincial ministers holding party positions. Since PTI was having a CEC meeting today in Islamabad, no one (from the party) was in Peshawar. I dont know what this can be called, non serious attitude or incompetence.
What makes you think they are genuinely negotiating? If anything, this could be quintessential military tactic to buy some time for war planning. Maybe somewhere in Pakistan, thousands of jawaans are being trained to fight in a within borders, sophisticated combat mission? Britain certainly played the whole appeasement trick with the Nazi Germany so they could have enough time to produce the amount of weapons to match Germany's military might. They were also doing the same thing in 1919- 1922 when everyone went absolutely berserk with the idea that a mighty Empire is kneeling in front of a bunch of carpet sellers (Turkish nationalists). This is how wars and military work. The reality is, in military terms, peace talks/appeasement is not always a genuine agreement to sign peace, often it's just a tactic to buy enough time to prepare for the war.
First of all I dont think there's any long term planning in Pakistan Army (just like other government departments), if they had any planning department we wouldn't be in this situation in any case.
I dont see any peace talks in the midst of this wave of terrorism. Taleban have refused to cease fire as a pre requisite for the talks. The confusion in government circles for achieving peace (through dialog) alone would only dent PTI's credibility as the federal government would just dust their hands and walk away. PTI should keep in mind that they are ruling the province now and not in opposition.

Again you are missing a very basic point that if Pakistan army plus the political parties on record don't rule the out the possibility of military action then it is highly likely that this whole facade of peace talks is just a smokescreen for real war preparation. This is a perfectly acceptable standard military tactic. As a pseudo war historian, I find this so normal and in fact very encouraging. I am not telling you that peace talks will work or peace talks is the way forward, I know they probably won't work but if the whole idea of appeasement is Pakistan's military strategy to buy some time then they have my respect.
There is no such thing as long term planning in wars, you plan your war as you go along and everyday brings a new strategical change in your plans. The only long term planning I see in Pakistan War Office is that they are serious about having Afghan Talibans off their back, again a very reasonable policy.
^^^ Yea he will go and blame drone attacks on mass murder today by terrorists. For PTI/IK denial is a river in Egypt.
Oh Yes n wht are We getting from drone attacks these suicide Bombs. Are drone attack atopping this or reducing It, wht is the result We are getting from drones?
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Jandullah group has claimed responsibility for the blasts. Ahmed Marwat, a spokesman of the group, told Newsweek the attack was in retaliation for drone strikes. “Until and unless drone strikes are stopped, we will continue to strike wherever we find an opportunity against non-Muslims.” The militant group had earlier claimed responsibility for attacking foreign mountain climbers in Gilgit-Baltistan, and for an attack on an Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) compound in Sukkur.

Asked yourself why are there drone attacks? When a state abdicates its responsibility over its own territory and international terrorists are using it as a hub to attack others what should be done?
