7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Now Dhoni brings back Ishant...but I think a bit of damage has already been done.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

dont know why most of the indian bowlers stand in the middle of pitch during a run out chance

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Even Harbhajan should be taken out now. 10 remain, let the extra bowler work his job. Why spin when the fast bowlers have been making the ball talk?

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Bilkool !!

Don't quite understand Dhoni's love for Harbhajan.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

I think Dhoni is a bit responsible for this 50 runs partnership.

He should have gone in for the kill when 6 wickets had fallen.

Instead he persisted with Harbhajan (who has not done much of note lately) and Yuvraj and took all pressure off.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

All said and done.....even a target score of around 200 may be sufficient for this inexperienced and depleted Indian batting.

They barely managed to get past 159 in the Melbourne game....and today they are one batsman short.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Irfan Pathan has come back so well, with so much focus, so dedicated, has improved with his bowling speed, have been much accurate rather than erratic, have been more of a team member. It is good to watch him rejuvenated with the passage of time.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

^ and Irfan takes another wicket.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

^ and he gets another.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

You know the Captain needs a course in Mathematics when the best bowler ends up bowling 1 over less than the maximum allowed.

Dhoni did many things right today....but his handling of the bowling in the 2nd half of the Aussie innings left much to be desired.

India need 204 to win
I know I am a pessimist, but I have to say it seems like a tall order for this Indian batting line up....the only silver lining for India is that Bret Lee is not there today.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

The captain shoulders much of the blame, I agree. One of your best and fastest bowler is one over short. Yuvraj has four under his belt. This is as defensive as it can get from Dhoni. At times, he has been good in his field placements, slips and men in catching, but rotation of bowlers today was not anything strategic.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

you really think so? geee uve only mentioned it 20 times

he did try sharma didnt he? brought him on
but i think the fast bowlers were pretty tired so he took him off and brought bhajji
my stream was on and off, so thats what i think happened
yuvi has bowled really well against aussies, it just didnt pay off today, not everything works out perfectly

i think id rather give credit to clarke than blame dhoni
but i agree with u, he should have finished sharma off and maybe munaf, dhoni usually goes with his instincts but hes good enough to change it up when things not going his way

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

the over rate was pathetic at that time - so had to persist with slower bowlers...think he should have tried tendulkar
but his captaincy has been otherwise very effective...

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Hayden watched Gilchrist. Gilchrist watched Hayden. Ball watched the rope.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

that was a pathetic effort from tendulkar
hes gone and India are 20/1

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

dont agree with sending pathan up the order, lets see, has been pretty lucky so far

india looking fragile

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

Tall task, tall task ahead.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

gambhir gone aswell, for 34.

very disappointing effort by the indians. don't think they have the batting line up to chase down 200+ against the aussies.

IND 59/3.

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

rohit sharma gone aswell, for 1

IND 59/4

Re: 7th Match - India vs Australia @ Adelaide

india ****ting in their pants
