This is the biggest source of ridicule for Islam… The religion gets protrayed as nothing more then some teenagers wet dream by its detractors.
I wish some people would come up with genuine reason explaining why heaven is describes as one big orgy in Islam… Most Muslims just seem to laugh it off, even though its a great source of disrespect towards Islam.

Can someone explain to me why Islam is such a male religion… Women have to be covered at all times apparently, must hidden away from men in the mosque, etc etc…
On top of that we demean them even more by saying we get 72 of them, virgins no less, for our own pleasure in heaven… Is this Islam or the Playboy Mansion!

So, should we take away whatever is described about Paradise away from Quran and Ahadith? And why should we do that?

I think biggest source of ridicule for Islam are followers who say we are Muslims and indulge in everything else. If we were following Islam correctly this 'ridicule source' would never have come to the 'scene', so stop blaming everything else when its Muslims themselves who are to blame.

Heaven is not all that orgy that we keep hearing, its just what "we" are focussing on.

The Quran talks of hoors, but they're not the same thing as human virgins. So, no, you don't get 72 virgins.

The hadith's have some conflicts with their numbers, and its probably best not to worry about it. Most people don't even deserve a virgin human wife in this lifetime. 72 hoors tho duur ki baath hai.

As for human wives in heaven...it doesn't make much sense that every man would get at least 2 virgin wives. Because that means we women are working hard to get into heaven only to go to heaven and become part of a harem. Doesn't make much sense. Also doesn't add up with hadith's that talk about most women ending up in hell.

There are different rewards/levels for different acts. The one who is focused on hoors will keep focus on such deeds, then there are people who will do good to appease Allah swt. Whether you do good to appease Allah swt, in fear of Allah, in want of reward (a tree, a palace, hoor(s)) is upto each individual.
