On The “History Channel” , in a programme about “The history/Concept of Heaven in different Religions”, when talking about Islam , they showed a Palestinian Blow himself up in a busy street in Israel, and then said” In islam Martyrdom has the highest pedestal in heaven. Every “Man/male” gets 72 virgins for pleasure till eternity, while the history channel depicted pictures of nude women (some artwork from the Renaissance period).

I am not so sure about the number 72. It seems to be the favorite of some Muslim "scholars". Everything is multiplied by 72 or 70. I don't think 70 or 72 is mentioned in the book.
I honestly don't understand the whole scenario. Would it be 72 at the same time or one at a time?

Why does the number matter ... I think heaven is what we perceive it to be ... if you want 72 hoors and you've been a good person, then thats what you'll get ... i dont think every guy wants 72 hoors.

No, there is no mention of 72 per se. It is used in reference to 'many'. Keep your fingers crossed there could be more than 72.
