SARGODHA: A suicide bomber rammed his explosive laden motorbike into a bus carrying Pakistani air force officials Thursday, killing at least seven and wounding 40 others, the interior ministry said.
“The bus was carrying trainee flying officers when it was attacked by the suicide bomber” in the Sargodha district of central Punjab province, interior ministry spokesman Brigadier Javed Cheema said.
“Eight air force officials died in the terrorist attack,” Cheema said, and around 40 were wounded.
“It was a suicide attack and the target was the bus which was carrying the air force officials,” chief military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad said. Sargodha is home to the largest air force base in Pakistan.

This why terrorists must be defeated or they will kill us or make us live in fear. Some among us still want to surrener to their demands and think removing Mush or electing someone they like wil solve this problem.
Re: 7 killed, 40 injured in Sargodha suicide attack
How long will this go on?.
Israel has been suffering through terrorism for over 40 years, despite their zero tolerance and heavy retaliation against the terrorists and their bases. Let's hope it does not last that long in Pakistan.
Re: 7 killed, 40 injured in Sargodha suicide attack
but unfortunately "air-strikes" turn more people against Pakistani government/army.
right - airforce has been decimating villages in the tribal areas; killing innocent civilians. perhaps, it's payback time. no sympathy what so ever for the armed forces
Re: 7 killed, 40 injured in Sargodha suicide attack
^^ each time a suicide bomber attacks, it turns more pakistanis against them
Thats the hope... But I know a lot of miserable self centered Pakistanis.. Not really their fault, they just feel rather helpless so they just try to stay focused on their own lives.
Pakistanis just a lack the political will... Might be a result of so many years of undemocratic rule.

^So what do we have to lose now? Damned if you do and damned if you dont...
But the risks of not doing anything far our weigh those of doing somthing. Because obviously these terorists arent going to stop, and they obviously wont confine themselves to the FATA... Soooo...

What we have to lose? Army and disintegration of the country. Its hard to say what out weighs what given that army's sincerity/integrity is questioned by public.

This is a war between state and the tribal bands. Ultimately state will win, they always do.
If Pakistanis don't care about their state to win this war, then NATO states will ultimately destroy the tribal bands. However if they do, Pakistani state will be severely damaged because it will be upto them to draw the borders not us. Because we didn't take the responsibility to reign in the terror tribes.

so how do you want the army to respond when a tribal terrorist blows himself up killing 140 people?
