I can peronally guarantee that even if "sponsorship" is terminated, Pakistan & India cannot reconcile, atleast until Kashmir issue is resolved.

unless the military & political animosity between I & P are resolved, economic comparisons are of little value (other than saying I is better than P and getting some Pakistanis angry).

Excuse my ignorance but why are any terrorist activities that take place in India always blamed on Pakistan. My my, if Pakistan was such a brain it should be the SuperPower today not US and most certainly should be YEARS ahead of India's progress! As far as 'sponsored' terror is talked about - apart from the news stories about the captured so and so's admitting who sent them, there really is no real proof that those people were not just acting out of self interest or were actually native to the country. Some of the views in this thread just make me chuckle with disbelief. How gullible can people become by just watching or hearing the News. Don't judge a book by it's cover - read it first!
