How about i switch this around: Had India batted with a bit more discipline and the top order gelled together, we would have won it 5-0 :p

I think I just made BBC change its headline. It used to read "India conquer Pakistan" and so I wrote them a few times telling that this was just a cricket match and not war and this was in extremely poor taste. Lo and behold, your new headline: "India overcome Pakistan" Yeah!!

its not just the extras, but extras were the main reason.
Yeah Pakistan has no one other than itself to blame - not match fixing, not the ground conditions. Today India was the better team - batting, bowling as well as fielding.

Zoab chanda, the other side of the coin is that Pakistan wasn't as adroit at bowling, supposedly their strong point, and didn't have the intestinal fortitude to withstand the superior Indian batting. This is world class cricket..if you can't put up then shut up.
As far as the LBW not given, there was one by Sehwag not given either. Don't blame the umps, don't blame the stars, blame the inherent weakeness in the team. It is the same weakness that plagues India, not being able to step up when it counts. Tonight was india's night. Pakistan didn't step up..simple as that.

I think the blame game can go on and on and without a doubt there will be a post mortem of what happened. But at the end of the day it was a great series and India the deserved winners. Remember they came from behind to win this one.

36 extras in one game means 36 extra runs + runs taken from bat on those balls. even if we gave half of that like in this match, we would have won. so, yes buddy they were significant, infact more significant then anything else.
but not the ONLY reason ofc, as i've said in my earlier posts. inzi's captaincy, our bowlers indiscpline, india's superior batting, and ganguly's captaincy, in general are things that were major factors as well.

Combination of 2 W's / Best oppening pair witnessed by modern cricket / deadly magical spin of Qadir-Mushii-Saqi - Batting of Inzi / Ijaz & co,,, while this was going on " where was India ?
as soon you bowl Azhar or Tandi ,, the game was over.
Lekin Indian young side is doing very good now a days, while pakistan is going through a bad patch due to too many changes and too early,,,
