It seems Ponting is not happy with new ball.

Re: 5th ODI - India v Australia Vadodra, 11th October 2007
well i think its a combination of the things you mentioned: ganguly got run out in first over, then dravid missed a ball and got caught in front of stumps next ball. Momentum Australia. After that some bad shots and good bowling + the pitch that has not been keeping even. Middle order got exposed to the swing too early today...
Thanks. Ok that explains it. Tendu actually has been in pretty good nick since the England series and it's now really upto him (and Pathan) to make a game out of this seemingly hopeless situation. Pathan I know can certainly bat having opened in a few tests.

what a shot by 10dulkar
Re: 5th ODI - India v Australia Vadodra, 11th October 2007
Those watching, have they shown the hawk eye on two LBW appeals against Pathan yet? One in Hogg's previous over and the one that just ended? I felt they were pretty close, the first reaction was the benefit of the doubt.

Re: 5th ODI - India v Australia Vadodra, 11th October 2007
I read a trivia the other day on Cricinfo which says that the highest share of runs by a single batsman off the team total is around 60-65% which happened in the 1st ever test match. Let's see if Tendulkar can create the record for ODIs (dont know the odi stats though)
51%. Maybe in his 499th ODI a few years down the road. :p

Nonetheless, a good innings by him. I have noticed this pattern a number of times lately with India, whenever India's first 5 wickets go down with just 80-90 runs on the board, their last 5 will always more than double up the score.

Gilchrist 5 catches and 1 run out. Is that a record? I hope he gets this record to his name.

What is the lowest target set in a win in a 50 overs ODI?
Re: 5th ODI - India v Australia Vadodra, 11th October 2007
30.2Lee to Singh, FOUR, welcome runs, as this time RP connects perfectly with the flick to the yorker and gets it past midwicket
YESSSSSSSSSSSS

One that I remember was 120 run in 99' worldcup final. :D
But on serious note...We are way past that...I think the record will be in 30s..we are 4 time better than that. :D
