Your comment was about the "theka" of our country getting outsourced.
In reality, Saudis have bigger control on our country than Americans. They themselves admit that they are players in Pak politics. And they are the ones who are responsible for destruction of Pakistan.
So this comment about our country's theka is more applicable on Saudis rather than Americans.
Saudis are only a side-kick in the game here, they only kick in once in a while for example rescuing idiots like Nawaz Sharif, funding madrassahs and probably controlling indoctrination through those madrassahs/LeT/LJ but what steps government should take on geo-politics, how government should respond to outside threats is controlled by US, what government should do with water, electricity, commodity prices is dictated by IMF.
Pakistan raises this issue only to settle the border. Reality is that mountains can not be sealed.
I am not suggesting to such a big scale but China Wall is not built on plains.

I don't believe China wall is build on zigzagging mountain tops either but that is besides the point. Pakistan needs to put its foot down viz its border a.k.a. take control of its own destiny. I know there is afghan **ing and then the Akhrot Naswar Party with its afghan sympathies but you have to put down your foot one way or the other. Who knows if Pakistan realizes its benefits that come with a better border like decline in smuggling and other vices from Afghanistan then the local population might as well pay no heed to ANP's **ing?
I think the bottom line is that Pakistan has get out of the teenager mode and act like a mature adult.
How is Imran relevant to all this, he has not been in power during the past 10 years of WOT, and maybe he will not even win the next time? During your beloved Musharraf’s time, on the one side there was a lot of noise/hype about operations but on the other side he allowed them to flourish, Swat and other areas were allowed to fall into the hands of extremists. Its his double dealing/hypocrisy due to which we are in this condition now.
Its the present regime even if we like it or not which has carried out operations in Swat, Dir, SWA, Mohmand, Orakzai and flushed them out of Buner. Anyways, still I dont see the areas pacified or the threats due to taleban diminished. We have just pushed the taleban into Afghanistan, or other settled areas. The people in Afghanistan can come back to Pakistan whenever they want, and the ones in settled areas are carrying out their attacks else where at a timing of their choice.
If the government is serious they should conduct intelligence based operations and target the leadership of taleban to finish off this fitna once for all. Its not possible to end this war by killing the foot soldiers alone.

and I don't believe the mountains that China Wall is built on are straight either, no mountains are.

Thats the real thing, Pakistan as country needs to decide what we want to make this FATA thing, whether we want to integrate the whole thing as rest of Pakistan or want to give up as independent states and seal them away from Pakistan so they don't get any benefit from Pakistan and we don't get their sh!t, if US feels like bombing them then they will be free to "negotiate" whatever they want from them.

US role in Pakistan foreign policy is exaggerated. And Saudi role is denigrated. Pakistan created Taliban with Saudi help, not with Americans. And Pakistan recognized their government along with Saudis, Americans didn't.
If America was running Pakistan's policy then Pakistan would not be such a good ally of China.
America got involved with Pakistan foreign policy in Afghanistan only when it felt the heat from Qaeda. Otherwise extremists in ISI would have continued their games against Afghan and Pak people.
Saudis on the other hand play more destructive role in radicalizing Pakistani society. I don't need to explain how much Pak has suffered because of it. Therefore Pakistan's "theka" is actually outsourced more to Saudis than Americans.
This "birader Islami mulk" with his "khadim e harmen shareefen" has done to Pakistan what no enemy of Pak could do to it.

Plaster that damn boarder with landmines . Like so many countries have done in the past and still do it. Just keep some stretches clear to establish checkpoints. Since Karzai is always complaining about Pakistan not doing enough , this will show him that we are serious but it will close all kinds of supply lines to Afghanistan and he will stop complaining when his country will become completely landlocked.
You cannot have your cake and eat it too. You want safe passage then you complain about porous boarders. Idiot Karzai.
This would be too harsh for lot of people living on the border areas who have families in Afghanistan. Plus, Afghans are our brothers and they depend a lot on us for lots of things. They are poor and honest people. Better solution would be to ask Karzai to shut down all Indian consulates. My question is that why all of sudden there is so much trouble on Afghan border?
I read somewhere that Taliban are saying they have shifted their strategy to bigger attacks. Aim is to demoralize Pakistan army ranks and create divisions.
Deputy TTP leader Fakir Mohammed said the group with close ties to al Qaeda had changed strategy and would now focus on large-scale attacks only on state targets like the one in Dir.
“Our new strategy of launching big attacks on military installations was aimed at causing demoralization in the ranks of the security forces and tiring of the government,” he told Pakistan’s The News newspaper from what he said was a location somewhere in Afghanistan.

Well they can come through the legal border like they do with the Central Asian -stans who have mined their borders as well.
You might consider then brothers and in the bigger picture of looking at them as our Muslim brothers they are but the reality on the ground is that Afghanistan as a country always has held a certain hostility toward Pakistan because of Durand Line issue and it will remain a sore issue between these two countries forever. Even our so called Taliban brothers when they ruled Afghanistan with the help of Pakistani government, did not accept Duran Line as a final boarder between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
