and I believe he wanted to emulate Ghilchrist in the test matches, lower down the order. but anyhow he did well there.

I dunno how Younis khan will be as an opener, but Afridi is definitely better down the order where he has a higher probability of performing better... inshaAllah & Aameen.

well test series for younis was superb and as far as ODI’s go, the catches he took in the 3rd ODI it seems opening with him (if they do that) wont be a wrong choice. Just keeping my fingers crossed. and praying will do best insha-Allah
