Re: $4000-$5000 bridal
This is ridiculous. I've been looking for a bridal gown on Toronto and non-designer joras are starting at $2500 - $3000. I'm beyond shocked. I'm basically up the creek without a paddle because I need a gown for May.

Yup. Its crazy. What I have ultimately decided to do is get a designer top/kameez + duppata because I want the nice finishing and quality touches. And I want a heavy wedding day dress. For the bottom sharara/legehnga.. I have many friends who design so I'll get them to work on the bottom once I have the designer piece in my hand. This way I figured Ill have my wish of having a designer piece be fulfilled and also cut down on some of the money [hopefully].
If non-designers are so expensive - it may be best to go for one of the designers I have listed or if you are a complete no no for brand names then get something from Pakistan. Because I have noticed in Canada and American they sell the product (branded or non-branded) for a higher price because they need their profit too. In pakistan if you pick-up a ready-to-wear one the profit is not going to be as high as overseas.

One of the main reasons I wanted to quietly get married with a nikkah and dinner but our parents insisted a wedding is necessary.
