$4000-$5000 bridal

Have been roaming around the forum and the price quotations for some of these designers have been giving me mini heart attacks

Which designers are nice enough to have their bridals between 4-5000$ ?

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

I'm in the same boat!

Can someone more knowledgeable on this forum say if 4-5 is possible for:

Farah Talib Aziz
Sania Maskatiya
Misha Lakhani
Mina Hasan

?

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

My bridal dreas was Mina Hasan, she was in that budget range you mentioned although she can be sometimes tough to deal with in terms of time management maybe but honestly thats most pakistani designers these days :I

I LOVED my bridal though...

@ShimmerV, would love to see pics of your bridal dress!

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

check our past bride.. HSY cost around $1500

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

out of the designers menitoend only mina hasan and sanaia maskatiya would be in that range. not too sure of farah talib aziz, as she is new she might be in the same range. misha is slightly more expensive. You can get tons of other desingners in your range

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

r u sure??? for hsy its quite cheap…

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

thats what they said.. and i heard that the dresses made by hsy himself starts from 1 million rupees. and most of the dresses are made his team..

This one. I don’t know if she asked for it as is or with any modifications but the quote was for $4000.

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

Bridal joray prices astound me these days...really.

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

I'm just a little relieved I got married when these prices would have seemed way to high. But I would like to know how you guys go about ordering from these designers and how much advance time frame you give them?

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

It depends on the designer, but most require the bride, or at least someone from her family to be present in person in Pakistan for the first consultation and picking of the jora/colors/ naap etc. After that it's all handled online or via Skype/whatsapp etc. Time frame needed could be anywhere from 4-6 months or booking up to a year in advance for a Bunto Kazmi.

No one in my immediate family has ever even dreamed of spending that much on a bridal jora lol. It's just not worth it for something you're going to wear for 3 hours tops. The cousin who recently got the price quote from FTA was doing just that, inquiring about the price only to satisfy her own morbid curiosity. :D

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

I know people who have spent less on entire weddings. :rotfl:

I’m curious…what do people with ā€œdesignerā€ bridal outfits do with them afterwards?
How many wears do they get out of them?

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

I wish I hadn't even spent 900$ on mine because it wasn't even designer and I have never worn it again. It is so not worth it for 3 hours. It wasn't even the long style that I wanted because it wasn't available here yet. I had no choice though because the one I ordered wasn't here on time and I had to get one last minute a week before my wedding.

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

My khala told me that recently one of her friend's daughter got married and she got hers made from Sania Maskatiya. It ranged between 2-2.5 lacs.

I was quite happy and surprised to be honest because I thought I would find nothing lesser than 4 lacs.

Sana Safinaz told me that their bridals starts from 295,000.

There is quite some time before my wedding, infact the dates have not been finalized yet but I wanted to have my research done from as before as possible so there are no surprised last min. But I doubt by the time I do get married these prices are going to get higher.

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

same in our families.

My sister got married a few years back, and she was adamant abt not spending an arm and a leg. She did not are what anyone thought. i kid you not, when I say her light kaam walla lengha was $250 .

On Ebay and other resale sites, i see many bridal/walima/mangni joras for sale. Everyone has their pref, it is your big day, but for me, it is a waste of money.

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

I purchased from Rani Emaan. For US brides, she has a couple of boutique locations in DC and NY so it saves you a trip to Pakistan. She had outfits that started around $1500 and went up depending on how heavy you wanted it. The thing I liked about it was that you could change the kaam on the outfit to make it fit your budget. My valima outfit was under 4k and my wedding outfit was around 6k. Honestly, the 6k was completely over the top and much heavier than I wanted but I caved to my mom's demand that it be very bhaari. I had gotten my way with most other aspects of the wedding so I compromised. However, the way they had it on display was beautiful and under 4k I think.

Re: $4000-$5000 bridal

Thought I should update some of you on my recent inquiries.

Whatsapped Dr. Haroon and got a quote of 8000 USD starting. ANYHOW,

-> Nomi Ansari emailed be back saying they can work with any budget (do not understand what this ACTUALLY means)
-> Sana Safinaz quotes me with 290, 000 and above
-> Farah Talib Aziz quoted me with 5 lacs and above but she mentioned "heavy bridals"
-> Saira Rizwan 300, 000 and above
-> Samia Ahmed 300,000 and above
-> Sania Maskatya as mentioned previously 2.5 lacs

I have messaged a bunch of other designers. I shall update the post once I get their responses.
