Everyone has a right to choose whatever they want to. It's upto them if they want a younger wife, it's their life. If girls don't like marrying a older guy, they can just say NO. How hard is that?

Many young gals find the older man to be sexy....ala Sean Connery yeah? But in most cases, the 40 yr old men are suffering from a mid-lie crisis and looking for arm-candy. The gals are happy to have that sexy-mature-guy-father-figure and both are happy. For a little while. I mean, most gals at age 20 might not mind being arm-candy to a sexy older guy but once they begin to mature themselves, it loses its thrill. And the guy, when its arm-candy that he wants, well he begins to lose interest when the looks begin to fade.
Gals, always be very leery of 40-plus men who drive red cars (esp convertibles), get their nails done in a salon and have suspiciously-too-dark hair.

If a guy in 40 is still un married, it really does not mean that he is a failure. Sometimes its family obligations that make the guy put his family in front of him. A guy in 20's lose his dad and has couple of younger sisters would think of their marriage before he will think of his.
Then maybe its education that stopped him from focusing elsewhere cause he was pursuing his double phd or what not.
now why is he going for a girl on 20's cause he still deserves to raise a family. Girls are not in an ideal child bearing age when they cross 35.
Point is, let him look for a younger girl, you still have the right to say no but I dont think that you have a right to complain and accuse.

But yeah, i see older men running after younger girls. One of my uncle got married when he was 45 to a girl who was 20. And she is really really beautiful. Everyone was shocked that such a pretty girl married an old guy like him but she belonged to a lower middle class family and im assuming her family couldn't find any decent rishta for her and my uncle is US citizen and owns 3 restaurants. Shes quite happy living in a huge mansion in san francisco which is like one of the most expensive places in america! Thats a big change from a small crowded house in a dirty neighborhood of nazimabad, karachi where shes from.

Sounds materialistic but a useful advice. A guy in his 40's is either financially set or not. So no guess work is required on girl's part whether he is going to make it or not.

There is the guy I know here, very nice gentleman, divorced at 45, has 3 grown up kids. Pakistani, was married to a local here who left him after many many years of marriage.
Anyway, he recently got remarried to a 21 year old girl from the village. She isn't here yet but this guy tells me she was never married before and he too is surpised that her parents let her marry him with all his baggage...
These days many parents want to get "rid" of their girls as they are a burden for them. :( I hate that mentality. Nothing wrong with that guy but really if she is a regular girl, why not go for a regular guy? And he isn't rich or anything. Just a US citizen.

If the guy was married and especially if he has kids from last marriage, he should act his age and look for a partner within 5-6 yrs of his age. A guy with grownup kids marrying a 21 yrs old girl is pathetic.

^niksik, girls from villages don't really have a say. And for them it really doesn't matter how old the guy is. If their family likes a rishta, they just go ahead with it. All of our maids are from rural areas and they have really really old husbands. Men there marry young women so they can work and wotn get tired easily like their previous older wives! (yes, most of them are polygamists)
And being a US citizen is a huge thing these days. Even educated girls go for older men if they are american citizens so for a girl from a rural village, its the best she can get.
