40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

13th Jamadi-sani is the day when Fatima Zahra was martyred. I found the following link that has 40 ahadith from Prophet about her. I thought to share with everyone.

Re: 40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

Al Bukhari Volume 5, Book 57, Number 61:

Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhrama:
Allah's Apostle said, "Fatima is a part of me, and he who makes her angry, makes me angry."

--

Al Bukhari Volume 8, Book 80, Number 718. Narrated 'Aisha:

Fatima and Al 'Abbas came to Abu Bakr, seeking their share from the property of Allah's Apostle and at that time, they were asking for their land at
Fadak and their share from Khaibar. Abu Bakr said to them, " I have
heard from Allah's Apostle saying, 'Our property cannot be inherited,
and whatever we leave is to be spent in charity .but the family of Muhammad may take their provisions from this property." Abu Bakr added, "By Allah, I will not leave the procedure I saw Allah's Apostle following during his lifetime concerning this property." Therefore Fatima left Abu Bakr and did not speak to him till she died.

Al Muslim Book 031, Number 6000:
Miswar b. Makhramah reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Fatima is a part of me. He in fact tortures me who tortures her

Re: 40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

BArakAllah feek and thank you for sharing these hadiths of the Prophet (saww) about his beloved daughter. It will be great if somebody could post some of the verses from the Quran praising Fatima Al Zahra (as).

Re: 40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

Shakir 76:5] Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor
[Shakir 76:6] A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth.
[Shakir 76:7] They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide.
[Shakir 76:8] And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive:

Re: 40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

jazak'ALLAH ..

Salaam Abbas,

1)
"But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say: Come, let us call our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and our near people (ourselves) and your near people (yourselves), then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on
the liars.” (Chapter 3, v. 61)

In the ninth year of Hijra, a Christian delegation came to Prophet Muhammad seeking clarification about the status of Prophet Jesus. They refused to accept the Prophet’s position that Jesus was not the “Son of God.” Allah revealed the above verse. The Prophet took Fatima to represent all the believing women. He also took Ali, Hasan, and Husayn.

2)
“Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanliness from you, O people of the house, and to purify you a (thorough) purification.” (Chapter 33, v. 33)

The circumstances of the revelation of this verse are documented in the famous Hadithe-Kisa referenced above. Briefly, the Prophet, Ali, Fatima, Hasan, and Husayn (peace be upon them) were assembled under the prophet’s blanket in the house of Fatima. Allah sent Angel Gabriel with this verse, testifying to the purity of these exalted personalities.

3)
“Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it (my toils), but love for (my) near relatives …” (Chapter 42, v. 23)

It has been agreed by all schools of Islam that the individuals referred to here as “relatives” or kin (Qurbaa in Arabic), were none other than Fatima, Ali, Hasan, and Husayn (peace be upon them). Showing love and affection to these individuals is commanded by Allah.

4)
“And they give food out of love for Him, to the poor and the orphan and the captive.” (Chapter 76, v. 8)

Chapter 76 of the Qur’an was revealed in praise of Fatima, Ali, Hasan, and Husayn. They had made a vow to fast for three days in a row. At iftaar time, each evening a needy person knocked at their door asking for food. They gave away what little food they had for themselves to the needy and broke the fast with water only. They endured three days of hunger for the sake of Allah. Allah was so pleased with them that the entire Chapter 76 was revealed to honor them.

Jafri - Typical of you and your type!!

You have taken 2 separate ahadith and have very cunningly with malicious intent tried to slander the most respected companion of the Prophet (saw).

Very cheap shot from you. Your pathetic attempt is just like you spitting at the sun and lo the spit falls right in your eyes!!!

This was a very nice thread on the Noble Lady Fatimah al Zuhra (May Allah (swt) be pleased with her) and you drag in your sectarian venom to spoil this thread.

How wrong you are here and I am not going to let you get away with it scot free.

Please go and read your own books written by your own eminent scholars and read they say:

“Fatima is a part of me, and he who makes her angry, makes me angry.” was stated by the Prophet (saw) towards Hz. Ali bin Abi Talib!!!!!!!!

Read the following:

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Abdullah Jafar Al-Sadiq: A miserable of the miserables came to Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, and said to her: “Did you not know that Ali proposed to marry (Khataba) the daughter of Abu Jahl?”
She said: “Is it true what you say?
He said three times: “What I say is true.”

Jealousy entered into her (heart) to an extent she could not control, for Allah has ordained that women be jealous and that men perform Jihad, and He has made the reward of the patient (woman) similar to that of the Murabit and Muhajir in the way of Allah.

He said: And Fatima’s anguish became severe and she remained thinking about it until night time…she moved to her father’s residence. Ali came to his residence and did not see Fatima and his anguish increased and became great on him, even though he did not know what happened, and he was ashamed to call her from her father’s house so he went to the Masjid and prayed as much as Allah willed, and he collected some of the sand in the Masjid and laid on it.

When the Prophet saw how sad and anguished Fatima was, he poured water over himself and wore his clothes and entered the Masjid. He kept praying, making Rukoo and Sujood, and after every time he completed two Raka he made Du’a that Allah remove what Fatima had of sadness and anguish because he left her turning over and breathing heavily.

When the Prophet saw that she could not sleep and could not rest he said: “O daughter, rise!” So she rose and the Prophet carried Al-Hassan and she carried Al-Hussain and took hold of Umm Kulthoom’s hand until they reached Ali (AS) while he was sleeping.

The Prophet put his foot on Ali, pinched him, and said: “Rise Abu Turab! You have disturbed many a resting person. Call for me Abu Bakr from his house and Umar from his Majlis and Talha.” So Ali went and got them from their houses and they gathered around the Messenger of Allah.

The Messenger of Allah then said: “O Ali! Do you not know that Fatima is a piece of me and I am from her. Whoever disturbs her, disturbs me and whoever disturbs me has disturbed Allah, and whoever disturbs her after my death then as if he has disturbed her in my lifetime and whoever disturbed her in my lifetime then as if he has disturbed her after my death.”
(source: Ibn Babveh Al Qummi’s “Elal Al-Sharae’”, pp.185-186, Al-Najaf Print; also narrated in Majlisi “Bihar” 43/201-202)

read the following, as narrated by Al-Majlisi’s Haqq-ul-Yaqeen as well as in Al-Tusi’s Amali:

“When Fatima asked for Fadak from Abu Bakr and he refused to give it to her, she returned full of anger that could not be described and she was sick; and she was angry with Ali because he refused to help her.” (Al-Majlisi’s Haqq-ul-Yaqeen, pp.203-204; also recorded in Al-Tusi’s Amali, p.295)

Another interesting read for you:

Fatima (رضّى الله عنها) reconciled with Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه)

In any case, it was only initially that Fatima (رضّى الله عنها) was angry at Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه). The Shia endeavour to capitalize on her feelings to convey the idea that because she was wronged, she had directed that Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) should not attend her Janaazah and that she remained angry with him until her demise. We do not agree with this narrative, and we believe that Fatima (رضّى الله عنها) eventually became pleased with Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه).

Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) was not motivated by ill-feeling or malice for Fatima (رضّى الله عنها) in the dispute regarding inheritance. In fact, placating her, Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) frequently said:

“By Allah! Oh daughter of Rasool-Allah! Kindness to the relatives of Rasool-Allah is more beloved to me than my kindness with my own relatives.”

According to both Sunni and Shia narrations, Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه) was greatly saddened by Fatima’s displeasure (رضّى الله عنها). He went to great lengths to please her while remaining firm on the Shariah. He went to her home, stood at her door in the midday sun and asked Ali (رضّى الله عنه) to be his intercessor in his sincere attempt to placate and please Fatima (رضّى الله عنها).

Ultimately, she became pleased with him and accepted his decision. These narrations appear in Madaarijun Nubuwwah, Kitaabul Wafaa, Baihaqi and in the commentaries of Mishkaat.

Kitaabul Muwaafiqah narrates that Anaani said:
“Abu Bakr came to the door of Fatima in the midday sun and said: ‘I shall not leave from here as long as the daughter of Rasool-Allah remains displeased with me. Ali came to Fatima and giving her an oath urged her to become pleased. Then she became pleased (with Abu Bakr).”

Shia records also confirm that Fatima (رضّى الله عنها) became pleased with Abu Bakr (رضّى الله عنه). The Shia author of Hujjaajus Saalikeen states:
“Verily, when Abu Bakr saw that Fatima was annoyed with him, shunned him and did not speak to him after this on the issue of Fadak, he was much aggrieved on account of this. He resolved to please her. He went to her and said: ‘Oh daughter of Rasool-Allah! You have spoken the truth in what you have claimed, but I saw Rasool-Allah distributing it (i.e. the income of Fadak). He would give it to the Fuqaraa, Masaakeen and wayfarers after he gave your expenses and expenses of the workers.’

She then said: ‘Do with it as my father, Rasool-Allah had done.’ Abu Bakr said: ‘I take an oath by Allah for you! It is incumbent on me to do with it what your father used do with it.’ Fatima said: ‘ By Allah! You should most certainly do so.’ Abu Bakr said: ‘ By Allah! I shall most certainly do so.’ Fatima said: ‘O Allah! Be witness.’ Thus, she became pleased with this and she took a pledge from Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr would give them (Fatima and others of the Ahlel Bayt) expenses therefrom and distribute the balance to the Fuqaraa, Masaakeen and wayfarers.”

In the very reliable narration of Sunan Al-Bayhaqi, we read:
“When Fatima became ill, Abu Bakr came to her and asked for permission to enter. So Ali said, ‘O Fatima, this is Abu Bakr asking for permission to enter.’ She answerd, ‘Do you want me to give him permission?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ So she allowed him (to enter), and he came in seeking her pleasure, so he told her: ‘By Allah, I only left my home and property and my family seeking the pleasure of Allah and His Messenger and you, O Ahlel Bayt.’ So he talked to her until she was pleased with him.” (Sunan Al-Bayhaqi)

I am sure Shia brothers & Shias are going to be stung from quotations from their own books - My request is them to stick to the topic of the thread and state the virtues of the Noble Lady.

It is not my intention to hurt anybody's feelings but had to correct false accusations thrown by Jafri just to push his sectarian slant. I can provide link to the above material if anyone disires. (that means it is copy & paste job from me.

Re: 40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

Please leave this thread alone and make a different one if you guys wish to discuss other personalities. Thank you.

Bibi Fatima is the one mentioned in Ayah e Mubahila in Surah Aal e Imran 61:

[Yusufali 3:61] If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: “Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!”

This is from Tafsir al-Jalalayn:

The Prophet (s) had called upon the Najrān delegation to do this when they disputed with him about Jesus. They said, ‘Let us think about it and we will come back to you’. The judicious one among them said, ‘You know that he is a prophet, and that every people that has ever challenged a prophet to a mutual imprecation has been destroyed’.
They left him and departed. When they went to see the Prophet (s), who had set out with al-Hasan, al-Husayn, Fātima and ‘Alī, he said to them [the Najrān delegation], ‘When I supplicate, you say ‘Amen’; but they refrained from this mutual imprecation and made peace with the Prophet on the condition that they pay the jizya, as reported by Abū Nu‘aym.
According to Ibn ‘Abbās [the Prophet] said, ‘Had they set out and performed the mutual cursing, they would have gone home and found neither possessions nor family’. It is also reported that had they set out with this intention, they would have been consumed by fire.

Re: 40 sayings of Holy Prophet (S) about Fatima Zahra (A)

All of the Quran is beautiful but one of my favorite Sura is Kauthar/Kausar that is related to Syeda Fatima (as) too:

إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ

Surely We have given you Kausar,
Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.
Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity.
(chapter 108, verses 1-3)

When the Holy Prophet's son, Tahir, born to Khadijah al Kubra, died, Amr bin As and Hakam bin As taunted the Holy Prophet by calling him abtar-tail-less, whose progeny has been cut off. This surah was revealed to give glad tidings to the Holy Prophet that abundance of unbounded grace, wisdom and knowledge, mercy and goodness, spiritual power and insight, in highest degrees, and of progeny has been given to him.

It is mentioned in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Musnad of Ahmad ibn Hambal and other books of renowned Sunni scholars that the Holy Prophet said:

"Kawthar is a stream of super excellence, exclusively belonging to me. Only the righteous believers (among my followers) will be allowed to drink from it. Ali shall distribute the water from it to them.

From that day Ali was known and referred to by the companions as saqi al kawthar.

Kawthar also means abundance of descendants. The countless descendants of the Imams of the Ah ul Bayt, in the progeny of Ali and Fatimah are known as sayyids. They are the descendants of the Holy Prophet.
In gratitude of the grant of "abundance", the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt demonstrated highest standard of devotion in prayers and in giving everything they had in the cause of Allah. The sacrifice of Imam Husayn, his grandson, has been described as dhibin azim in verse 107 of Saffat (see commentary 3. For their salat see commentary of Baqarah: 3, 43, 45; Ta Ha: 132.

Ibn Sadique - Typical of you and your type!!

In your haste of copy n pasting from a nasibi source You have very cunningly with malicious intent tried to slander the most beloved respected and noble companion of the Prophet (saw).

Very cheap shot from you. Your pathetic attempt is just like you spitting at the sun and lo the spit falls right in your eyes!!!

This was a very nice thread on the Noble Lady Fatimah al Zuhra a.s (Allah (swt) is pleased with her) and you drag in your sectarian venom to spoil this thread.

How wrong you are here and I am not going to let you get away with it scot free.

before you read any further please click the following link and read post 21 and 23 with open eyes. http://www.paklinks.com/gs/5948874-post21.html

Teh hadith you quoted from the nasibi source is taken out of context. Let me post the complete hadith and see if it was realy stated towards Hz. Ali bin Abi Talib. Your respected and beloved fourth Caliph.

You posted from your nasibi source:

Your nasibi friends from ahlelbayt.com in thier enmity of Ali (as) and Ahl-e-Bait (as) deliberately posted incomplete hadith to push their malicious agenda. The Hadith continues as follows:

check the post 21 I stated above for the source.

I am sure the sunnis and the followers of ahlelbayt.com like you are going to be stung from the lies spread from nwasib and the truth written in your own books - My request is them to stick to the topic of the thread and state the virtues of the Noble Lady.

It is not my intention to hurt anybody’s feelings but had to correct false accusations thrown by Ibn Sadiq/ahlelbayt.com and alike just to push thier sectarian slant.

May Allah guide them.

Ibn Ishaque:

“When Fatima asked for Fadak from Abu Bakr and he refused to give it to her, she returned full of anger that could not be described and she was sick; and she was angry with Ali because he refused to help her.” (Al-Majlisi’s Haqq-ul-Yaqeen, pp.203-204; also recorded in Al-Tusi’s Amali, p.295)

Warna gird-e-turbat-ash gardeed mi Sajdaha bar khaak-e-oo pasheed mi
Otherwise, I would have gone round and round her gravesite, And I would have done sajdah on her grave

[1] This is an allusion to the Qur’anic verses 1-12 from Sura Dahr, Chapter 76. Imam Ali gave away his meal while ready to break his fast to a beggar. Allah sent those verses in his praise.
[2] This is an allusion to the story when Imam Ali comes to the Prophet asking for Fatima Zahra’s hand in marriage. He asks Ali: What do you have? Imam Ali replies: A sword and a coat of chain. The Prophet then says that being valiant fighter in Allah’s way, he does not need a coat of chain, so he sells that to prepare for the wedding.
[3] These verse pertain to the eldest son of Fatima Zahra, Hasan bin Ali. Many of his virtues are recorded in books of hadeeth.
[4] Hasan abdicated in favour of Mu’awiyyah to avoid bloodshed and warfare
[5] An allusion to the passion of Karbala. Compare this with P.B. Shelly’s famous lines: “Our sweetest songs are those which are sung in the saddest tones.”
[6] Husayn stood up to a tyrant’s demand instead of compromising his principles
[7] It is amazing that Iqbal, a person raised in a typical male-chauvinistic society of Punjab, would write these lines
[8] These lines are highly metaphorical. The translation that I have done is not literal.
[9] Allusion to another story from the life of Fatima Zahra
[10] This is an allusion to the Qur’anic verse 51:56, “I have not created the Jinn and the men except that they would worship Me.” And it also connects to a hadeeth in which the Prophet had said: “If it was lawful to do sajdah to someone other than Allah, I would have commended women to worship their husbands.”
