The context of this hadith is neither a condemnation of sayyidna abu bakr or sayyidna ali

rather Miswar was asked by a descendent of Sayyidna Hasan for his daughters hand in marriage ( he is hasan muthana) Miswar politely declined quoting this hadith since Hasan Muthana was already married to a descendent of Syeeda Fatima

Umar Ibn al-Khattab came to the house of Ali. Talha and Zubair and some of the immigrants were also in the house. Umar cried out:
"By God, either you come out to render the oath of allegiance, or I will set the house on fire." al-Zubair came out with his sword drawn. As he stumbled (upon something), the sword fell from his hand so they jumped over him and seized him."

umar set fire to anything
umar killed fatima

if anything this shows that zubair was trying to avoid giving to bayah to umar , yet according to 12ers these sahaba conspired to seize caliphate from ali. And zubair is such a hateful character in 12er folklore

:hehe: I love it when the rafidah quote sunni sources to justify something. Please don’t quote our sources, we love the companions of the Prophet (SAW). Abu Bakr (ra), Umar (ra), Usman (ra), Ali (ra), Aisha (ra), Abu Huraira (ra), Abdullah ibn Masood (ra) and I can go on. By respecting and defending the companions we only defend the Quran and Sunnah. Alhamdulillah. May Allah curse those who curse the beloved’s beloved.

LOL, I curse the shaytaan unlike the rafidah, who only love to curse Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam by cursing his chosen companions and wives. Rafidas only goal is to demolish the religion ISLAM. May Allah save the believers from the fitna of the rafidah.

I do not think the user of this term realized what it means. Ashaab al Muntajibeen or Chosen/Selected Companions is a term used by the Shi'ites because we do not believe in the ultimate decency of all the Sahaba (whose numbers well exceeds 150,000). Right answer, Nussairee bhai?

Chosen in the sense that Allah would not have chosen the sahabas and wives of the Prophet(SAW) if they were to be so evil as the rafidah claim. The sahabas and wives of Prophet(SAW) are the reason we have the Quran and Sunnah narrated to us. By attacking them, you attack the Quran and Sunnah, meaning the Prophet (SAW) and ISLAM.

^ whts the source of these ideas tht u hve cooked for urself............did Allah force the wives of Nuh and Lut to commit crimes against them............and the companions of Musa and Isa...........who all betrayed the Prophets?..........did Allah chose Abu Lahab's actions too as the uncle of Prophet too............only to give him stern condemnation in Quran?..........and did Allah choose to yazeed to kill the prince of the youth of paradise.........and more recently George W Bush to run us down and humiliate in Iraq and Afghanistan?.......... so my friend to save the crimes of some people..........pls do not try to ascribe bad actions of theirs to Allah...........Allah is much above that and far from evil that ppl commit..........

and if criticizing sahaba's evil action is "attacking Islam" then.........plz do tell me the reason why we have Sura Munafiqoon and Sura Tehreem in Quran criticizing the bad sahaba and the conspiring wives of the Prophet.............why does Allah Himself threatens the wife that they will be divorced if they did not change course...........and in return Prophet will be given "better" wives?..........why did Prophet condemn the wife who was to fight Imam Ali in the future?..............did sahaba holded on to such notion?...............if yes then why did Sahaba bore animosity to each other to the point where battles were fought b/w e/o..........thousands upon thousands of Muslims were killed..............
