Poor Younis can get 10 hundreds in next 20 innings and still his critics wont shut up. He will get remarks like ‘I will not fall head over heals; and ‘our vc has to be accomdated in the team’ and ’ he is a hit-and-miss player’ bla bla.

The thing is that although he is a player of limited abilites but he is a genuine fighter :k: It is good to see him playing well and silencing his critics

thanks inzi for such a determined effort...you made all of us proud...thank you so much.....i wonder for how long you alone will carry the burden of this team......what a great innings...CONGRATULATIONS....

i hope pak team will continue playing well on the second day....i hope they will not lose the concentration..............we need to be very careful on the second day...may Allah bless our team....

let's not forget we were in a similar position last test and blew it, nothing is decided. and we will have to pile up a HUGE target to truly challenge india in this match to force them to bat out three days.

Yeh, Yeh! I know, :rolleyes: , Like I said the numerous times, its not about loosing or winning. Pakistani style is only one style and that is to play “Attacking” cricket and put up a good fight. Good results will eventually follow.

7 for 2 wickets and Inzi+Younis could have been sitting in thier defensive shells for all we know.
They opted for the ‘ofensive defense’ and with good batting track it paid dividends.

The cleanist innings I have seen from Inzi for a while and good to see Younis finally learning to use his head, best I have seen of him in a while, Both look very composed indeed.

And about Inzimam. Well he truly is a great player and he has broken so many records along the way. You can fault him for his laid back attitude on the field but no laying back when he bats. Awesome performance in his 100th test. We are proud of you Inzi bhai! :jhanda:

I will agree with funguy that we have not won the match as yet. In last few tests agaisnt ausrtalia and India, we have squandered dominant positions. Lets hope we press for further advantage tomorrow. Wicket is as bland as it can get so Pakistan has to make sure they dont have to bat a second time when the wicket has worn off.

Pakistan have not been able to string two consecutive good days since a while now. Hope this time it will happen.

And to think he wanted to be dropped from the team just before the 1992 WC semi final against NZ. Thank God that Mr. Niazi thought otherwise. :)

if we bat through the second day as well, only then we can be in a position to even think of winning the match, fourth and fifth day is going to be hard batting so pakistan should bat no matter how long, two and half days will be good though :), this oppurtunity should not be waisted ..........

Wonderful performance both by Inzamamul Haq and Younis Khan. :salute: to you two for putting up great fight and rising to the occasion. Whata way to reach milestone of 100 Test matches with an unbeaten 180* on first day :k:

Though I have been against Younis Khan’s inclusion but his yet another century leads me to believe that he is here for longer, I wish him best of luck and hope he performs consistently. Bob Woolmer must be happy on one side and be walking on burning coals on the other (as Shoaib Malik’s place seems to be gone).

At one time both Inzi and Younis were scoring at almost equal run rate (until they were 30 or so) then Inzi took off from there and Younis lagged behind. I only watched till lunch and I’m grateful to God that there was no further loss of wickets.

Earlier Shahid Afridi disappointed me by leaving first ball duck, I knew my heart wasn’t beating faster without any reason :teary3: but then Yasir Hameed played very similar shot and departed too. After a few overs my heart beat started to come back to normal rate phew. Yasir is the batsman they should’ve persisted with and paired with Salman Butt, I’m sure even if he (God forbid) is unable to deliver in next inning he will be able to bounce back in next games. We have to persist with them for sometime before replacing them. Faisal Athar is the next choice who was considered during selection process but due to so much “talent” available couldn’t make it.

Best of luck to Pakistan team. I hope they can play until tea tomorrow and manage around and declare (if not all out I hope) otherwise if they try to continue till 3rd day this test will head for a draw.

So far in this thread I have only found your Post as sensible, warna baki sab ne tou already India ki B**D maar li hai, India ko apni aukat dikha di hai, aur India ke saare Bowlers USELESS yeh bata diya hai, aur Pakistani Batsmen Jo marzi aur jub marzi Kisi Bhi Bowling ko khatam ker sakte hain.:rolleyes:

is mein koi shakk nahi, Inzi and Younis have definitely made the Pakistani Fans here Proud, and meri taraf se bhi mubarak, wakai from 7/2 to reach 323/2 is in no way a minor feat, and anybody who thinks different is a fool, living in a fools paradise.

Ok having said that, I am really sorry but I have to say it I TOLD YOU SO, TOLD YOU SO, where are the Critics who thought Younis was a fluke where as, I have been saying give him a fair chance, aur aaj you log tareef ki barish hou rahi hai.Well:Salute: na hi mere dimag mei koi shakk hai ya tha, Shakk tou aap logo ne hi kiya tha, (haan shayad aab yaad na aye, woh alag baat hai)

imo Inzimam as a batsman was never a doubtful starter to me. Its his Capt10-C that is in question.

Younis has been On & Off by himself, and he know about it too.
Remember, How he ‘punched the air’ towards the dressing room after getting his 100 ?

That little gesture showed how much pressure he was bearing due to his inconsistency in the recent months.
